Blue Beetle (2023)

Made for elementary/junior high kids

This might be the worst Superhero film I've ever seen, extremely cheesy, action is low budget and actors did an okay job. Definitely geared towards children (like the fart scene).

This is supposed to be the 1st film of the new DC/James Gunn universe, which is really disappointing.

I noticed a ton of action/sequences that were ripped off from other movies too (Man of Steel, Spider-Man, etc), humor felt very dated and acting felt forced. I had high hopes, trailer looked kind of fun, but the movie went down hill from the start and just got worse and worse.

I hope things turn around for DC, I really do.

Thank you Stuart Little for saving the universe. I'm excited for the next Stuart Little movie which I'm guessing is a prequel to this movie.

The Dark Knight (2008)

Perfect movie

A perfectly made movie, with Heath Ledger at his best. Batman Begins started the trend of 'dark/serious' movies, and just when you thought a movie couldn't be better... The Dark Knight came out with an outstanding performance by Heath Ledger.

As much as you hate the Joker character in the movie, in the end you truly feel bad. Every scene he's in gets so intense with your eyes glued to the TV, it's really hard to get side tracked by thinking of something else!

Sadly The Dark Knight Rises wasn't that great, this movie still stands as one of the best movies out there.
