Baby Reindeer (2024)

What Trauma Can Do...

I like to score based on what the project was trying to accomplish and authenticity. I feel like Baby Reindeer crushed both of those departments.

Is this series better than Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones, no.

Apples and oranges though.

I would have never turned this on if it wasn't for the great reviews. The content isn't really my cup of tea, however if something is exceptional, I'll check it out.

All performances were superb. You can tell the lead actor really went through all of that pain. It was so believable.

Baby Reindeer evokes all of the emotions, especially the end. The ending to me was perfect and tied everything up with a nice little bow.

Please, no sequel. The series was perfect as is.

Civil War (2024)

Tragically Authentic

I really don't like to watch violence in movies and avoid war movies in general. However, I'll make exceptions for certain directors. Ex Machina is the only reason I went to see Civil War.

Yes, the plot is a bit thin. Yes, you don't really know exactly why things are the way they are in Civil War, but it felt so real. Other than a couple small roles, everything about this film felt 100% authentic.

I'm a Canadian that lives on the border of the USA, and I honestly love what that country stands for. I woke up this morning with tears in my eyes thinking about what did I watch last night?

Unfortunately, something that could very well play out before our very eyes in the near future if the wrong people get in office...

I suspect the people who didn't like this movie would rather watch a Vin Diesel or Jason Statham action movie instead.

A Good Person (2023)

Hit me like a ton of bricks

Florence Pugh absolutely crushes this role and it's a shame she never got recognized for this performance.

It's definitely not a perfect movie or a "masterpiece". There were a few moments in the film that didn't feel authentic. However, there is so much good that it exceedingly outweighs those moments/scenes.

There is a lot to learn and be reminded about in "A Good Person." Especially that life is fragile. One persons little brain fart can hugely impact and possibly destroy many lives.

This film does a tremendous job of showing the ugliness and beauty of humanity in tribulation. The power of love, forgiveness and the human spirit.

Dark Skies (2013)

I dont think JK Simmons has ever been in a bad movie.

Don't watch this one at night folks. Or maybe u should for maximum effect.

I rarely wish movies were longer but thought this one could've used another 15-20.

Grossly mismanaged music festival

Wow trainwreck is definitely the appropriate title for this doc.

Very interesting watch especially growing up in the 90s with that genre of music.

But wow was I deeply angered watching this go down. Not only the Woodstock founder not taking responsibility but Netflix using footage of nudity was not needed. What if some of those woman were underage at the time, no way of verifying that. Ughhh

interesting watch but I feel gross sitting through most of it.

Nope (2022)

Different Eye Candy

Nope is unlike anything you've seen, it has a Tarantino sci fi vibe with a lot of great cinematography.

There's a lot of tense moments and it almost feels like you're there with some of the camera angles Peele uses.

Is it a masterpiece? Well nope, but its still pretty darn awesome especially on the big screen.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022)

Great theatre experience! Had a blast with the family!

Was expecting a typical less fun sequel but even for 2 hour running length, not once did I feel there was a lull, didn't check the time once.

Jim Carrey obviously nails the villain role even though he's not a fat dude and Elba was great as the warrior knuckles.

As good as the first if not better!

The Card Counter (2021)

Oscar Isaac does a great job with what he has but nothing about this movie seemed at all plausible.

I was digging the first half but then it all started to fall apart when the boring unrealistic poker side of the story kicked in. And I love poker but they didn't do their homework.

Go watch Matt Damon in Rounders instead.

Get past the silly premise and enjoy the wacky Chance family. Most episodes are great but definitely a few duds in the later seasons.

Overall its a ton of fun! My daughter doesn't want to turn it off.

Love watching this with my daughter.

It's about 5 guys who probably never thought in a million years they would be on TV. And they're making ridiculous kid's ideas come to life. And man do they put a lot of effort into the projects

1 character, Canadian Pat is a frickin hoot! Hope he gets more air time moving forward.

8-Bit Christmas (2021)

Really wanted to like this more, especially growing up loving nintendo in the 80s but 8 Bit Christmas felt a little bit "made for tv" bush league to me

It definitely has its moments but its far from a re-watchable xmas classic.

King Richard (2021)

King Richard is an epic movie. It moved me from the very beginning. It's the perfect story of a father (and mother) pushing their kids to their maximum potential with love more than selfishness.

I enjoyed every minute of this film and wish it was a mini series, because I feel like there's so much more story they could tell.

It has so many common themes and elements that you've seen before, but that doesn't mean it's bad.

Its moving, heartfelt and quite hilarious at times. All surprising for the guy who played Stifler.

Give it 15mins, and see if you keep watching.

Its not going to be most folks' cup of tea but for those who love the craziest most ridiculous stunts, pranks, jokes get ready to piss your pants. Eric would be proud.

Bad Trip (2021)

I didn't know what to expect when turning Bad Trip on, but I'm glad I did. One of the funniest things I've ever watched in my life. Eric Andre is absolute comedy gold pulling these unreal pranks off.

This movie is really only for prank lovers. Low scores are only coming from uptight folks. 10 out of 10 for what it's trying to be

Theron is a great actress. She absolutely nails this role as a jerky pompous alcoholic writer for tween novels. However there's nothing redeeming about her character. She's a sucky human being, the end. Just seemed like such a pointless film.

This was shocking, heartbreaking and very informative. Most of us realize earth is being destroyed by human behavior and then you watch this and it takes it to another level. I had no clue how bad it really is ..... Im glad I now know but wow do I feel hopeless.

A few months ago I turned this movie off after 5 minutes, it was a long shot that I'd ever give this movie another chance, but for whatever reason I did last night.

You Can't Properly Rate Something Until It's Over

I was thrown by the bad reviews and then I watched till the end of episode 4. Obviously ppl have been crapping on this show without even giving it a fair shot.

I'm not a huge superhero/marvel/avenger kind of guy but this show is awesome and I cannot wait until the next episode.

Wandavision's overall score jumped from 6 to 7.5 since the release of episode 4, that's got to tell you something!

The story of how it materialized is nothing short of a miracle. If you love the movie, you will love it that much more after you watch this episode on Netflix.

Only gave it a shot because of the strong cast. Wasn't thrilled about the subject matter. Thought I'd watch the pilot and never get back to it, WRONG!!! Binged it within 72hours.

One of the best television series out there. Strong performances by almost everybody. Billy Crudup is a hoot!

The Morning Show is powerful and worth a watch!

Palm Springs (2020)

It's honestly hard for me to sit through a full movie without breaking multiple times out of boredom. I only paused Spring Break because I needed to catch my breathe from laughing so hard. I don't know the last time I had such a good time watching a movie. I can't wait to watch it again.
