BloodRayne (2005)
10/10
Why 10 star?
7 August 2022
I'm giving this 10 stars to balance out all the atrocious ratings this movie has been getting. 2.9? If you can't rate something objectively, please don't do it. To me a 2.9 movie is a LOT worse than BloodRayne. 2.9 is something you can barely call a movie, this is not the case here.

So, how does it fare? I've played the games, and if you're looking for a perfect adaptation of the dilogy, this is not it. But I must say that they got the vibe of the games right, at least when the violence is concerned. Lots of blood and decaptations.

But that doesn't really matter. This is a movie, and regardless of being an adaptation or not, it should be judged in its own merits.

So how does it fare as a movie? A lot better than all of the people here are making it out to be. This is NOT a great, one in a lifetime experience. This is NOT something that I think you should go out of your way to watch it. This is just a fun little movie, that doesn't take itself too seriously, and provides some good action, and decent acting and effects for what it is. DO watch it if you have some free time and an open mind.

But most of all, do not trust the 2.9 rating.

True rating: 5.9/10.

Just do yourself a favor and start watching.

All the reviews above and all the reviews bellow praising it are absolutely right. It really is something incredible seeing a moba game being turned into such a fine TV show.

Just go watch it.

Southbound (2015)

As solid as a rock
26 November 2021
If you've already watched hundreds of horror movies, then you probably think you've seen it all, and that there are no more good ones being released.

That may be true, but Southbound is the exception.

It's truly something unique and refreshing. It's not about 5 teenagers taking a road trip, it's not about a family of four going on a retreat to bond, it's not about ghosts, vampires, found footage, torture porn, and all the other cliches.

It's a movie that actually made something interesting and inteligent. It's a movie that demands a re-watch to notice all the missed details.

If you're looking for your standard Final Destination horror, where it's all simple and neat and straightfoward, this is not the movie for you. If you're looking for something that stands out over the thousands of the same old formula, this is the movie for you.

Malignant (I) (2021)

Solid horror entry in a bad age of horror
14 October 2021
I'll keep it simple and short: If you like horror, go for it. Solid movie, scraches that itch just right. It starts right off and it delivers a solid experience.

Now for the bad: The actors are pretty meh, not offensive but not very good either. The music is pretty off at times, both in timing and in choice. And I think the weakest part of the cast are the two detectives, good lord. But that's pretty much it, the bad parts weren't annoying enough to pull me from the experience.

8/10 sounds fair.

Bates Motel: The Cord (2017)
Season 5, Episode 10
8/10
Great ending for a great series.
30 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
So here we are, after 5 years, this is it. As expected, a lot of people are mad. Well, you all have your point. It's not an excellent ending, because it's not an excellent series. It's a great series, it's not excellent nor perfect.

I think the ending was pretty fitting, and I loved it. Oh, by the way, forget the movie. We're talking about BATES MOTEL.

Anyway, I think it was fitting. The series was way too dark from the beginning, we had a lot of dark f moments, and to finally have some sort of happiness in the middle of this mess is at least reassuring. Oh, you don't watch shows to be happy? Fine, if you want to get sad and cry, just go listen to some sad songs. This is a TV Show, and for what it is, it was a fine ending.

Now for the SPOILERS:

No I have not watched the movie, and honestly from all that is shown in the series, I don't think it's necessary. We have all the build up, all the masturbation needed to get to this point. Maybe the foreplay was a little too long(maybe? I think it was)... But with Norman's death it all seems just realistic. It would make no sense for him to continue on a killing spree, or to Dylan to just have dinner with him and Norma. Or to have Romero kill him, or to have him going to a mental institution. This is all boring and predictable. Him going out the same way as in the movie(so I heard), seems like a good and respectful way to end the series.

To me it would be disappointing if he would go to a mental institution, this would give way to a possible spin-off. Any other way that involves him again in a spin-off would be f idiotic. We had Norma and Norman Bates, and it was pretty good for 5 years, now let's all leave it all be like it is and move on.

All in all, great ending, great series.
