The Omen (2006)
pure crapola
Maybe it's true...illegal internet downloads is hurting the quality of Hollywood movies and it shows....This movie just doesn't make sense, i felt sorry for the poor Rottweilers who was forced to work through this train wreck.... Although i respect Liev Schreiber he's done great work with Denzel Washington in the Hurricane and is a great PBS narrator, this movie was a step back for him in my opinion.... Oh did i mention a touch of anti-Semitism here? What do Jews returning to their holy land have to do with world destruction here? Gimmie a break.. and if the devil child had a 666 birthmark why not get an evil angel to pay for plastic surgery removal and who says a catholic church is hallowed ground? i can tell you of thousands of sexually abused alter boys who would probably disagree.... So don't waste your time with what seems to be the norm these days.... a Hollywood movie of pure crap-ola - P.S.the only thing that stood out about this movie was Mr. Thorns ride....
Star Trek: Voyager: Bliss (1999)
One of Star Treks most ominous looking monsters
To see helpless Quatai being pulled straight into one of the most ominous looking Star Trek creatures was awesome. It leaves you with a feeling of being sucked into a great big funnel. This monster had the look of one big stomach that ate everything in the galaxy by manipulating their thoughts,W.Morgan Sheppard put on a brilliant performance as an obsessed alien seeking revenge for the deaths of his family by the stomach monster.. Seven and Naiomi saved the day as they were not affected by the monsters telepathy and were trying every means necesary to alert the crew..but the rest of the crew (thinking they were heading to a worm hole straight to Earth) wouldn't hear it... Voyager Heads straight into the Stomach monster to be eaten Alive.
North Country (2005)
A Strange Male-Bashing Phenomenon Across America
Everywhere you look nowadays, from television shows like Oprah to "America's Most Wanted" to The Movies.. Unfortunately to even Women's Magazines and books.. There seems to be a culture of male bashing across America (all men are cheaters and pigs)etc.. and this movie adds to that culture, Making Men out to be total Heartless uncompassionate Savages and mindless Sex-Freaks... I personally like Charlize Theron ,A true African, a beautiful actress born in Africa and Honored by Nelson Mandela ,but in this movie i have never seen such odds stacked up against a person --Her husbands, the town the mine her son her father even other women..... All male figures except her lawyer seems to be against her.. i enjoyed the movie - But i don't believe this is a true representation, i believe it adds up to more male bashing at a time when this country needs Unity......
Animal (2005)
This is no Bubblegum Lolipop movie
This a real movie about thug life and the inescapable revolving door trap that is so hard to break. Ving Rhames plays the animal which is not an accurate name for his character ,since his character is no different than a mob boss or a drug cartel kingpin.... this is how you have to be to survive on the streets.. excellent acting by Jim Brown who in real life is a PEACE ACTIVIST.. Ving Rhames does an excellent performance ,, who i think is worthy of an academy award nomination....Chazz Palminteri also performed well as a supporting actor.... this is a must see movie for Kids going down the wrong path in life,, since it shows the consequences of a leading a violent lifestyle....
9/11 (2002)
This is arguably the most infallible documentary footage of all time
Great documentary about the lives of NY firefighters during the worst terrorist attack of all time.. That reason alone is why this should be a must see collectors item.. What shocked me was not only the attacks, but the"High Fat Diet" and physical appearance of some of these firefighters. I think a lot of Doctors would agree with me that,in the physical shape they were in, some of these firefighters would NOT of made it to the 79th floor carrying over 60 lbs of gear. Having said that i now have a greater respect for firefighters and i realize becoming a firefighter is a life altering job. The French have a history of making great documentary's and that is what this is, a Great Documentary.....
Vietnam: A Television History (1983)
The best documentary ever made about the Vietnam War
This is the most balanced and impartial documentary of the Vietnam war i have ever seen. I,m not a war buff, i think war is violence and given the choice as civilized humans i think we should resolve our disagreements peacefully, having said that i am an enthusiastic fan of documentary's about WW1 WW2 Korea and Vietnam.I recently obtained the DVD collectors edition,And from the very first episode i was impressed. The series not only talks about the American involvement but goes back before the French colonial days of Indochina to the very origins of the Vietnamese people, with Balanced perspectives from the Americans the French the Vietnamese and the Cambodians. In my opinion, it is also a Study on the Difference of what the American Government says to the Media publicly and what it does Privately. I see parallels of this Phenomena today with the Iraq War.This is a must see Documentary about Vietnam. I would even Recommend it for History Teachers and classes on American History....
