FBI: No One Left Behind (2024)
There is no justice
Spoilers ahead!
So a team of war heroes and a desperate father make a plan to kidnap and trade a terrorist for their friend and son.
They kill some terrorists to nab the leader and make the trade.
They are all then arrested for their bravery.
This is not what justice looks like, the government left this poor solider as a prisoner of war and had no plans to trade or send in a rescue team, instead they would rather make deals with the terrorist for his resources and not even add the life of a war hero in the negotiations.
These men did what they were trained to do and did it well, they didn't hurt any innocent civilians only terrorists and yet were treated like hardened criminals.
This episode was good but damn it made me so angry watching it and seeing these men villainised for doing what's right.
I wish we got a scene of the court case in which I'm assuming the jury finds them all not guilty as who would convict soldiers for killing terrorist.
La Brea: The Road Home, Part 2 (2024)
The off screen finale
This series was like a fun version of Lost.
I enjoyed the show for what it was and didn't take it too seriously, I had no idea the writers would push me to my limits so dramatically.
I know it was cancelled before the writers had hoped and they had limited time to wrap up the story but to have so much of the finale happen off screen was just insulting.
All the major plot points were all concluded with a character telling us what someone did off screen.
I really loved Eve and having her missing from the final season really hurt that show, it was very obvious they only had her back for one day of filming and they just shoehorned her in. I kinda wish they had an older actress play an older Eve that was was lost in time and she could have played a bigger role.
The letters she wrote her family were never read out so why even mention them??
Overall it did conclude it was just rushed and very poorly done.
Come Out Fighting (2022)
Micheal Jai White
I will watch Micheal Jai White in anything.
That can be a bad thing sometimes as movies like this show.
The sound mixing is terrible, the music and sound effects are louder than the talking which makes it hard to hear what's being said.
The special effects are very low budget. It looks like a made for tv movie.
The acting isn't very good but that can mostly be put down to the poor script.
The idea of an all black unit in the army being told they can't go after their lost black lieutenant as they "can't spear the man power" while actively trying to save a white lieutenant in the same area is actually a good premise for a movie. Sadly this doesn't live up to the concept.
Charmed (2018)
Female empowerment... saved every episode by a man
As a massive charmed fan I can honestly say this is NOT charmed. A cheap witchy show trying to ride the coat tails of a far superior show. Not only can the girls do nothing for them selves and need Harry for EVERYTHING but the pilot has him overpowering them and explaining not only who they are but what powers they have. In the original (I say that meaning name only) the sisters had to figure everything out for them selves and Leo would help now and then from the shadows. This is pure tripe and I have no idea how it got a season series. That said the second series steps away from the charmed theme and is now a generic teen witch show. They even removed Their powers for a few episodes and then changed them completely. Even with the soft reboot of season two this is still terrible and if you want to watch a good show, watch the original.
