Hazbin Hotel (2019– )

THIS IS AWESOME! I love Hazbin Hotel!

I've watched the first 6 episodes at least 5 times now. After the third time, I watched the 2019 Pilot, on YouTube. It was good to get a little more background information on the main characters. This show is animated, and I absolutely love the artwork! So much detail is paid to, not just the characters, but the background, which is mainly Heaven and Hell. This show is Not for kids. It is definitely rated R. Adult themes, constant drinking and drug use, bloody violence, and then out of nowhere, a super cool song and dance number! Yes, there are two or three songs in each episode. At first I was skeptical, but it turned out that the songs are the Best part of the show! The singing is great. The music is fresh, and kinda rocks! And the lyrics are all part of the story. Each song serves a purpose. Two of the voices that I had heard before were from the same women who played Mimi, from In the Heights and Rent, and Carla, from In The Heights. I love all of the characters and every voice is perfect! There are many themes such as Heaven and Hell, Good and Evil, mistakes and redemption, and which side is actually more evil, Heaven or Hell? I now look forward to Fridays because that's when 2 new episodes drop! This show better not get cancelled, or I'm going to raise some Holy Hell!! Hazbin Hotel gets my highest recommendation. Give it try!

Bungo Stray Dogs (2016– )

This is the best! IMO

FYI I'm only an Anime Watcher, (Sub only-never Dub), not a Reader of Manga. I started watching about a year ago.(2022) It's been great being able to binge watch all of the incredible shows, that I never even knew existed, without having to wait a week for the next episode!

It all started when, for whatever reason, I decided to start watching Attack on Titan. (I should mention that I'm a 50 yr old American male.) I quickly decided that watching in the original language with English subtitles was Way better than watching with English dubbed audio.) By the 4th episode of AoT I was hooked! I started watching shows like; Classroom Assassination, Parasyte, Akima ga Kill, 7 Seeds, and many more. My top rated shows were probably AoT, Demon Slayer, Death Note, SpyxFamily, and Jobless re incarnation.

Then came Chainsaw Man! Definitely my new favorite! After that I really loved Black Clover! (Yes, it was annoying at first, but once I got used to Asta, I started to love Yami and all of the other characters! After finishing the first main arc of B. C.(125 episodes?) I got into reincarnated as a Slime and Jobless Reincarnation (go Rudeus!) THEN I STARTED WATCHING BUNGO STRAY DOGS! It's SO GOOD! It is my New Favorite! (for now) I recommend watching every show mentioned above. They are all Great! I'm so glad that I discovered the World of Anime. It's been a life changer for sure! I'm almost all caught up with Stray Dogs. I now have to wait a week for each episode. Thanks for reading this rambling review. I hope it helps 🤞

7Seeds (2019–2020)

Oh what Could Have Been!

I think I can review this show in 2words: HOT MESS. I have finished watching the episodes, and for once, I do not feel sad that it is over. I actually feel Angry, because 7Seeds could have been GREAT. I'm talking about Attack on Titan level of great. The potential was there, but it was totally wasted. IF done right, this show would still be alive and well. Instead, we were given a messy story, with too many ideas cramed into 24 episodes. I won't go into detail, but the setting, cast of characters, beautiful artwork, and a really great concept were all wasted. Maybe someday another studio will revive this show, and do it right. I keep thinking about what could have been, and how great this could have been!

Akame ga Kill! (2014)

I really love this show!

As a 50 yr old who's watched A LOT of EVERYTHING, I had never watched an Anime until the Covid 19 shutdown gave me extra time to watch more shows! I started with Attack on Titan. MIND BLOWN!! I loved everything about it! I've rewatched the whole thing 3 times. I didn't like the voice dub, so I went with subtitles and now watch every show that I can using them. After AoT, I tried Assignation Classroom. LOVED IT! I was officially hooked on Anime! Dororo was next. Then Demon slayer, and a few others. When I started Akame Ga Kill, I wasn't sure at first. Glad I stuck with it, because I'm almost done watching it a 2nd time! It's become one of my favorites now. The characters are great, and the storyline is straightforward and packed with plenty of action, and just the right amount of humor. Great plot twists and epic battles to the death! I wish it was longer, but short and sweet is almost as good. Right now I'm all up to date on Spy X Family, and my new Favorite, CHAINSAW MAN!! (check it out.)

Very Funny Show - THE KITCHEN

It's November 2022, and I just discovered this series on YouTube! As a professional chef and kitchen worker for most of my life, and also as a lover of good comedy, this struck me as Brilliant! I've just started watching it. It was made in Russia about 10 years ago. Don't know if there are other ways to watch it yet, other than YouTube? I also don't know if all the episodes are available (there's over 100!) I hope it becomes available on DVD. I normally watch shows with subtitles, as opposed to voice dubbing, but I think the dubbed English voices make THE KITCHEN even better! This review wasn't long enough, so I had to add this extra text.

Bulgasal (2021–2022)

STICK WITH IT 👍

I really ended up living this show. I wasn't sure at first, but I was hooked after watching the first 2 episodes. Now I'm all caught up, and I can't wait for Saturday and Sunday! Only a few episodes left. I am going to miss the characters when season 1 is over. For fans of SWEET HOME, ALICE IN BORDERLAND, AND SQUID GAME 👍

1917 (2019)

One of the BEST!

This film was AMAZING! I felt like I was right there with the main characters. Only real *Ingrates would give this movie a 1 star! Seriously. These same people probably thought that WW 1984 was a Masterpiece!🤣

Sweet Home (2020– )

SO GOOD!

I watched the whole thing a few months ago, and now I'm watching it again! There's just something about this series that I love. The actors. The special effects. The story. It's very original and fresh. I am thrilled that there's going to be a 2nd season! You never know if Netflix is going to cancel a good show or not. Sweet Home, and Sweet Tooth are definitely GOOD SHOWS! IMO.

WORST. MOVIE. EVER. It's bad. It's that bad. I was a teen in the '80s, and this movie is a blasphemy to Rock and Roll. I give it a 10 out of 10 on the VOMIT SCALE.

Chuck (2007–2012)

One of the all-time BEST!!!

Ok. So it's April 2, 2020. The whole world is in some kind of lock down or another. Here in Minnesota we are staying home and watching Netflix! I was searching for something to watch when Chuck appeared on the screen! I knew right away that I was going to watch the Whole Series AGAIN! I was hooked when this show originally ran. I couldn't wait for the next episode! Waiting for the next season was even harder. If you haven't watched this yet, please give it a try! It will only take 2 or 3 episodes before you are either hooked or ready to move on. I read the old reviews and couldn't believe the bad ones! I'm guessing that these were written by people who think that "2 Broke Girls" is a Great show. The positive reviews are spot on! Every character is Wonderful, with one being AWESOME! So stay home, be safe, and WATCH CHUCK👍 Edit: April 7, 2020. I'm almost done with season 2 and I wanted to add a comment. This series is better than 91.247% of the shows on today! I'm talking "FIREFLY" Great! It's been so long since I first watched Chuck that I don't remember many of the details. In fact, I have done a lot of drinking and drugs since then, so I don't remember much of it at all! THIS IS THE PERFECT SHOW TO BINGE IN CORONAPRIL! GIVE IT A TRY👍👍
