Not the best Pixar film that I have seen but it does deserves some credit
29 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The animation in this movie is good and it does have a very nice feeling to it while this film is enjoyable and emotional. It's soundtrack is good but at some points this film is tedious and it's storyline is a bit too hard to follow. I like how this film involves a lot of travelling in a balloon, this is very enjoyable to watch and this film has something very special about it. The soundtrack which it involves helps to give that feeling of it being emotional while exciting and an original idea and appealing to adults and children. But it is a pity that some parts of it are very hard to understand.

I don't like this film
29 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This film is about the history of Facebook being invented, instead of about how Facebook affects people's lives and this film's story isn't accurate enough to what happened in real life.

Good film
29 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This isn't my favourite film that is based on a Roald Dahl book, The 1989 version of the BFG is. But I still like this film though. The acting in it is excellent, and Dustin Hoffman is a good casting choice for this film. I don't know if I like that the ending to this film is different to the book which it is based on, I think that maybe it should be more true to the book than this and some of the script of this film is very cringe worthy. But this film shows nice settings and homes and land which are shown in this film are peaceful. Characters in this film tend to be really nice people, particularly Mrs Silver. This film fits in with how I imagined it to be from the book that it is based on. It is fascinating and enjoyable to see a lot of tortoises in this film and this film has a joyful feeling to it in a nice way.

Very funny
28 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This film is very funny and I think that the way in which Bernie feels about his bar mitzvah in this film is very realistic. The acting in this film is good and I like how this film has a happy ending and it is cool how at first Bernie wants England not to win the 1966 World Cup but then he wants to England to win the 1966 World Cup and goes to the final of the 1966 World Cup. The storyline of this film isn't too hard to follow. Something which I like about this movie is that I know that it is based on a true story which it retells but is slightly different. The amount of pressure which Bernie puts on his bar mitzvah and therefore England not being in the World Cup is very realistic for his age and it is interesting that Bernie's dad is treated by his uncle in a similar way to how Bernie is treated by his brother. This film is sad but moving and I think that it shows a lot about how it is realistic for a teenager to feel.

Good film
27 July 2020
The singing in this film is good and so is the acting in it. I like how it is timeless but slightly hints as to when this film is set. There is nice stuff to watch on screen in this film and Emma Watson is very beautiful in this movie, so it is good that she was cast as Belle. Also this film has a good storyline with a lot of detail to it. But this film feels slightly too long to the point where it gets a bit boring which is why I think that the time spent in this film while there is singing going on should have been a bit shorter than it is. Still though, I think that there could be other adaptations of Beauty and the Beast; it is the kind of film which should often be remade and this adaptation could encourage people to make more adaptations as this one is very good.

Not that good
27 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, it is stupid to describe a person as "wild'' when this term also is used to describe an animal. Second of all, the character of Poppy is not likeable. She seems unprincipled and it would be good if she was rebellious but still seemed very good natured, but she doesn't show any particular examples of being good natured. I don't hate her as a person, but nor can I think of many reasons to like her either. Her enemy Harriet is obnoxious and hard to like just like Poppy is, but Harriet is not awful enough for me to not feel a bit sorry for her when she is expelled from School. To make me feel gleeful about Harriet being expelled from School, she would have had to have been worse as a person than she is. Harriet is pompous, arrogant, bossy, obnoxious and Xenophobic, she insults the fact that Poppy is American but there isn't enough done to make Harriet hateable enough for me to be glad when she is expelled from School. Poppy is also obnoxious and seems arrogant too, she doesn't seem to show much understanding of anyone else or have very many good qualities if any, which makes me find both Harriet and Poppy very dislikeable, but neither of them bad enough for me to hate them. The ending of this film is made to seem like it is a happy one because Harriet was expelled but I feel a bit sorry for her. Alternatively, I'd have liked it if Harriet and Poppy were both flawed but likeable people who redeemed themselves at the end of this film and had happy endings but that doesn't happen either. When loads of girls lie that they were with Poppy when they were not, and one girl says "I was'' loads of them repeat these words and it is boring because there is not enough different words being used then and it is stupid that none of these girls get into trouble for lying, even when Poppy did. Alex Pettyfer's acting is good in this film and sometimes it is funny. Also I like how Poppy at first tries to get expelled from a School and then doesn't want to which is a good storyline and some of the storyline and dialogue of this film is good. But it isn't a very good movie though.

Bernard's Watch (1997–2005)
9/10
I love this programme
26 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This programme is fascinating and exciting. It is light hearted and when Bernard Beasley is recast, it is just as good as it is before hand. Both boys who play Bernard act him well, and the bully in this TV show called Ms Savage gets her comeuppance for giving Bernard and Nathan a hard time. The villain called Mr Rattle is punished as well. Although this TV show is very diverse, for example Bernard lets girls burrow his watch, it isn't too politically correct because there is a time when Bernard and other boys say "Boys are good at scoring goals Girls are good at playing with dolls''. But girls in this episode are Sexist too and when boys play against girls in this episode it is a draw, so it gives the message that boys and girls can play football equally well. One episode in this TV show is Racist, when a black girl is made to sound like an alien, and I don't like that. Also in the episode which shows Mr Rattle, Bernard is threatened in a way which is horrible to watch and sometimes the script of this TV show isn't very good. But this programme gives a lot of information about how watches work in this programme and the postman who gives Bernard a watch is a nice man. The second Bernard is less nice than the first one but episodes which feature the second Bernard still give a message that bullying is wrong. Nicolette bullies Bernard and Nathan but doesn't get away with it. Some of this TV show is funny and this programme gives good messages like in the episode where Sam's aunt is badly affected by worrying about things, she learns how to stop worrying so much. In one episode a character doesn't get the chance to watch a band performing because she injures herself which is too grim a thing to happen in this programme. But it is fun to watch time being stopped though and there are a lot of different storylines for this programme. Also I like how even when Bernard is recast, his name is still Bernard Beasley, there is consistency there but he has different parents, which means new characters. There is an episode of Bernard's Watch about a hotel, which gives a happy feeling because it seems like a really nice place where very nice people work, and in the episode where Bernard's granddad is throwing darts, he is able to do it fine when he feels confident about it, which is a good message to give. I don't like how at the end of this episode there is no explanation of how he can escape from a dog, but overall this programme is very good. It has good theme tunes and most teachers shown in it seem very nice.

Joker (I) (2019)
8/10
My favourite Batman film
26 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is my favourite Batman film. It is interesting and enjoyable to watch. That clown face in it which is frequently shown is a bit too scary though. In fact some of this film is too sinister and the Joker is suggested too much to be a villain. But this is something which makes this film interesting and when he seems to kill a man at the end of this film it is mind blowing and gives a lot to think about, although it does also make the Joker seem like a bit too much of a villain. But this film creates a lot of fascination about it though and the acting in this movie is good.

Not that good
26 July 2020
The special effects in this movie are good, and this film is sort of enjoyable. Generally it is enjoyable but not so much. The storyline of it is okay but it is often boring at certain points and it has a storyline which is too hard to follow. This film is a bit too long considering that it isn't all enjoyable anyway. I don't hate this movie but it seemed like it might be as good as Titanic, which I have given 9 out of 10 and was made by the same director as Titanic. But it isn't as good as Titanic though. Also this film is slightly unnerving to watch because of the way in which it is weird. I am giving this film 4 out of 10.

Titanic (1997)
9/10
Fabulous movie
23 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is a very good film, and the special effects in this film are done well. This film focuses on the tragedy of the sinking of the titanic but it still shows a lot of happiness like times when Jack and Rose spend time together before the titanic sinks so this film doesn't entirely give a sad feeling. Rose is pretty in this film and her romance with Jack is very nice in this film. I think that it is the right decision that Jack dies at the end of this film because it helps to show just how tragic the sinking of the titanic was. There has been good choices of music picked to be played in this film and the acting in this movie is good. Also Rose looks, talks and behaves in a way when she is 101 years old which is similar enough to when she is 17 years old for it to be believable that she is indeed the same person and this is an interesting idea. The tension as the titanic sinks is shown well in this film and it feels like the time it takes for the titanic to sink lasts longer than it does, which is a good idea because it makes it even more dramatic that way and when terrible things happen they often feel like they last for longer than they actually do.

This film makes it clear just how awful the sinking of the titanic was, and shows it in a lot of detail. In the part of this film where Jack is chained to a room, the fear that he will drown is very evident and the build up of how the sinking of the titanic keeps getting worse is a good idea for this film; at first the titanic is not filled with much water but this keeps getting worse though. I like how as this ship sinks, people other than Jack and Rose are shown. There is a lot of detail in this film which all looks very real and the titanic in this film looks very big. Occasionally Kate Winslet's acting and Billy Zane's acting in this film could be better than it is and I don't think that Kate Winslet's American accent sounds very convincing. Also I think that what this film shows of what happens on the titanic before it sinks should show a bit more than it does of people other than Jack, Rose, Ruth and Cal because in real life there were a lot of passengers on the titanic so I think that this film should focus on more characters than it does at this point. Also I think that the part of this film where Cal tries to show people while on a sinking ship is not realistic enough. But I have much more good than bad to say about this movie which is why I have given it 9 out of 10.

I hate this film
23 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This film is awful. None of the main characters in this film are interesting or likeable and this film is too grim. There is nothing in this film that makes me feel positive, it is all unbearably sad. Even the ending of this film does not create a sense of hope for enough good to happen in this film. This film does not have an interesting storyline and it is too violent considering that it does not include the violence which it involves in an interesting storyline. I also think that this film is stereotypical and classist. I can expect this film to get good reviews just because it seems to draw attention to how hard life can be for working class people, but when people think outside the box about this film it is clear that it focuses on the stereotype of working class people all continuing to be working class and living a life which is very relevant to crime. I know that it is hard for working class people to stop being working class but it does sometimes happen though and this film doesn't show it enough. I'm not saying that I think that this film should not show any working class people continuing to be working class at the end of it but it should show a bit more than it does of working class people stopping being working class. This film also makes it seem like upper class people tend to all be Conservative MPs which is a stereotype as well. There is not enough we are made to understand about the main antagonist in this film. The most likeable people in this film are boring and this film doesn't show enough interaction between working class people and posh people and this film doesn't show enough happiness at all. There is a part at the end of this film which makes me extremely upset when a woman is scared that she has lost her children. It seems unrealistic that people in this film wouldn't escape the community which they are part of because of how bad life seems to be in this community. I would not recommend this film, it is a horrible film.

The BFG (1989)
9/10
Wonderful film
14 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The only reasons I haven't given this film 10 out of 10 is because the scene where Sophie and the BFG watch dreams is a bit too short despite being a lovely scene which I think should be longer than it is and there is a tiny part of this film which I don't like. But this film is still a brilliant and excellent movie. It has good animation which is nice to look at and is a film about dreams which I think is a very interesting subject. The acting in this film is good and it doesn't change too much from the book it is based on, so it is a faithful adaptation of that book. However it does make the BFG slightly nicer than he is in the book, which is a good change because he is slightly too unkind in the book. The songs in this film are catchy but not corny, and this film has a happy feeling to it. The music in this film is good for this film and good in general and this film is funny. The characters in this film who are meant to be likeable are. The BFG is sometimes unkind but it wouldn't be true enough to the book if he was never unkind, and the characters in this film who are meant to be hated are very good villains. I like how this film has a happy ending and a clever storyline, for example it is a very clever idea for the Queen to become convinced that giants are eating children because she has dreamt it and part of her dream becomes true.

Funny

I haven't seen this film for a long time but when I did, I found it funny even though most people don't seem to. This film references a lot of different movies so it is good that it manages to include references to that many films. Most people seem to hate this film but I like it though.

Underrated
13 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I don't think that this film deserves as much as 10 out of 10 but to make up for it's low overall rating on this website, I'm giving it 10 out of 10. It is good in some ways and bad in others. Some parts of it are not enjoyable to watch and very stupid. This film feels too much like it is for teenagers, for instance how much of it is about rock music makes it seem that way and this film should be aimed at kids just like the books it is based on. But the CGI in this film is good though and the Schools which it shows seem like nice places where people might have an enjoyable time going to School. The fact that there is a teacher in this film called Miss Lovely is stupid because it is a stupid sounding name for a teacher and some of this film doesn't make sense and some of this movie is unbearable to watch. But I enjoy some of it though and I like alliteration so I like that this film involves alliterative names. This film is underrated but it is not a masterpiece. It is sad that homework does not stop having to happen in this film but at least Henry criticises it. In some ways this film doesn't feel as cartoon like as the books which it is based on. But at least it is a light hearted movie though. I like how Henry saves the School which he is at and is hard working in that sense and even works with Margaret who learns to get on well with him for the time being. The CGI in that scene where Henry saves the School which he is at is very good and fun to watch. But the final scene of this film is stupid though and it is not a good idea for this film to include Dick and Dom.

I like this film
13 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The acting in this film is good and maybe it is slightly too short but it is a film which gives a happy feeling to it and makes being in a city which is new to people look like a nice experience. The script of this film could be better than it is and I don't like how the character of Maria doesn't choose between Tomo and Marek. Also the character of Graham is a nice man but not as nice as he could be and Tomo is sometimes irritating, for instance when he grabs photos from Marek and threatens to throw them away. Still though, I don't like how when he is beaten up the culprits of that get away with it. But it is nice when Marek and Tomo seem to visit Maria and interesting how they might not actually visit her, just imagine it, although personally I think that they do actually visit her. This film shows nice scenery and even though it might not be good that it is mostly in black and white it is a peaceful film which I think would make people feel positive and this film isn't hard to understand which is a good thing.

Nice but sometimes boring
12 July 2020
This film has some diversity in it which is a good thing. The acting in it is good as well but a lot of this film is boring and the storyline of this film is too hard to understand. Credit where credit is due, the animation of this film is good. There are a few scenes of this film which are very enjoyable but most of it isn't very interesting and is too babyish for adults to be likely to enjoy it. This film is nice to look at and is very colourful but it isn't as much the kind of film which has clever messages for adults to understand while children enjoy it as it could be. It does at least give the message that we all are different and nobody should treat anyone else in a way which is mean and I can get a lot enjoyment from some parts of this film but I don't enjoy watching all of it very much. Not all films are terrible or brilliant, some are average and this is an example of one of those films.

Rubbish film
27 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Absolutely terrible film. Ghastly, horrid. This is a disgrace to Pokémon and is not similar to the original show. Ash dies in it and is brought back to life in a stupid and cheesy scene. Nobody should be brought back to life in a film, I accept that they don't have to be realistic but this is pushing it, and essentially giving children a wrong message. This movie is also much too scary and it is boring. The whole spirit of the Pokémon show simply isn't in it. Not to mention that the special effects are bad. I have given it the lowest rating on here that I can. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.
