I genuinely believe this was just the "alternative ending" that they ended up using due to spoilers. Everything about it was ridiculous, and Unimpressive. ESPECIALLY after how outstanding the rest of season 6 had been. I seriously hope Marlene will finally acknowledge the hate and disappointment and speak out, or release the real ending episode.
It made no sense. As everyone has stated, there were a TON of holes and things that contradicted each other. Worse, it's two completely irrelevant characters playing two of the biggest roles in the show? Pitiful. It makes the first 4 seasons a waste. Everyone watched, trying to figure out mysteries and discuss theories just to be told "SIKE!! You're all wrong, the real A hasn't even been introduced yet ;)". It makes it no fun. No viewer felt a connection to Cece or Sara Harvey and as touching as Cece's story may have been, (which, honestly, wasn't even that touching) it was hard to feel bad for her because I couldn't care less about her. They said the finale would be emotional. To have created a successful episode, A-or at LEAST red coat or black widow-should have been a character we knew for awhile and cared about. Someone who would break out hearts, or at least shock us. Someone with SOME sort of connection even if it were someone we hated. Terribly written.
I believe there is NO way this was planned for the past 2/3 seasons, because that would just be very embarrassing to the writer. To choose an A and then never put them in your show or leave hints? It's like there was no thought or effort put into this show at all. Just a bunch of nonsense for drama that didn't have connections.
I've never stopped watching a TV shoe I'm invested in, because as disappointed as I get I want to know what comes next. However-I have lost all faith in this show and I'm done watching. I advise everyone to do the same. Marlene King, please grow up and acknowledge what a failure this was rather than thanking everyone for the "support". Open your eyes. Wish I could give this a zero.
