Nine Days (2020)

A slow pace but amazing acting - Shakespearean

Winston Duke has such range and skill. This is his. Cappella. Zazie Beatz brings warmth a story that's is. Limbo. Benedict Wong Plays the correct percentage of middle man; the thread between them. Rest of the cast are at their best that you forget they are accomplished actors and just part of a beautiful script of this journey. Great movie

Edson Oda Wrote a beautifully story, the characters chosen well and the narrative is new and interesting. Leaving audience questioning the very essence of life.

The poem 'Song of Myself', by Walt Whitman is befitting the story.

I recommend you watch this with the knowledge it is slow burning. But know that it's a well written story for a Debut film.

It's a crap topic of caste. Rubbish topic but a real problem in India. World has big problems and these fools can't stop trodding on others.

ANIMAL DEATHS But the movie maker showed actual dogs killing pigs and dead pigs and dogs. I want to know if real animals were killed in the making of this movie.

The dead animal bodies are too real for props.

I hope THERE IS FINES IF THIS WAS REAL AND THE COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR IT ARE SERIOUSLY PENALISED. DISGUSTING.

The actors did their best.

The movie is ruined by the thought animals were harmed.

Quantum Leap (2022–2024)

Poor acting and demise agenda

The first series worked as Sam was a genius and can fight. The new guy is a good actor, restricted by poor writing and the new agenda to make a female lead the tough person. I would have preferred it if they leaped a female instead of a limP male character who seems to be useless at everything and needs the hologram to help with everything.

The acting skills of the female lead is awful and dry. She could have been a lot better cast.

Positive: The story has potential if the writer can consider the audiences are smart.

I will keep watching for the nostalgia of my favourite show with the original Sam and Al.

La Brea (2021–2024)

Good concept. Bad acting and directing

If this was a movie it would be straight to video a a B-movie (I'm from that era).

It's a good concept of time travel but very poorly directed and awful acting. Almost improvised acting script. Poor wardrobe and style. The concept and the hope it gets better has kept me watching as I miss a good sci-fi time travel series. This isn't it!!! It took me a year and half to start watching! I wished I had waited to read more reviews to NOT WATCH.

Also why do I need to fill the review with up to 600 words. All I wanted to write as it's a load of crap and don't watch it. Now I have to waffle on to fill.

The Karate Kid (2010)

Love the movie. But Not Karate!!

Although the movie was excellent and Acting was excellent too.

The whole premise of 'Karate' kid is lost. This should just have been a new movie with name Kung-fu!! Totally different disciplines from totally different countries. Some may say the director and writer were ignorant of that fact.

Another Life (2019–2021)

Awful acting and Unrealistic Sci-fi (is that possible!)

I gave this a chance, pushed past the fatigue story. The moments when it picked up, it peaked interest to watch a second episode. But quickly it fell into the usual really poor acting of the lead two characters!

Story doesn't make sense and makes humans look stupid.

"why do the aliens need permission to take over a weaker species? They are doing it anyway! Then the fight in the shuttle, WHAT!

I love sci-fi and this is stretching beyond 'pointless'.

The positive - a multi racial, gender crew; heavy on the strong female lead as per current trend!!! Not sure how long before equal opportunity is actually ' EQUAL'

Removed from my watch list.

Outside the Wire (2021)

Awful script. Waste of concept

Autonomous Robotic soldiers, world ending wars. All of this could have been a great ingredient for a modern warfare movie. Or a movie exploring the use of a AI robotic system. The script lets this movie fall apart. It's a narrow view into something that could have been epic. I enjoyed the movie to a limit. Acting was ok. Not too convincing. Action sequences were very good. All in all it's a poorly thought out film which I am surprised an up an coming A-lister would accept into his repertoire.

Cobra Kai (2018–2025)

Amazing and Nostalgic

The show isn't as smooth as the film series. However for the sheer nostalgia it's worth the effort.

Don't expect the speed of Kung Fu movies. Expect a lot of 'cheese'.

It's a great show and I hope it will only get better.

Guy Pearce couldn't have been cast in a worse film. It's a very high fall from grace for an amazing actor. The storyline is pointless, acting is so aweful, I think they think it's a playboy movie. The gun action is a joke! All in all, I think it's a poorly made waste of time. And what's worse is they had a decent budget. They should have hired actors not spent it on Botox and fillers!!! Rubbish.

The Punisher (2017–2019)

I get why this ended quickly

They took 2 seasons to develop Billy Russo's Jigzaw. There are so many villains in The Punisher and they could have just introduced a bad every second episode. Something that seems to be a issue with all these post millennial series.

It's dragged out so much, most of the dialogue to stop listening and to be honest I just want them to get on with it.

Billy is too much of a pretty boy after the facial injuries to be Jigsaw. The comic version was totally messed up. To level of unrecognisable, not some stupid mask.

The Prodigy (2019)

Unrealistic

The story is unrealistic. I'm not even talking about the reincarnation part. It's a bloody 8 year old child who can overpower adults. I understand for dramatic effect people have to wonder around in the dark and show thrill when there is a possibility a 'child' could have a knife to kill them. Kid is a good actor. I think it could have been done a lot better.

I thought I'd watch this in a long haul flight. It's hours I will never get back. The plot was thin. Shame because Pitt and Lee-Jones were excellent in their craft (9/10 for them) Need a good proper sci-fi not this nonsense.

Ryan Reynolds keeps picking some absolute garbage (green lantern - although I actually liked this) amongst his really cool and funny movies (deadpool). This was a movie that tried too hard to be fast and furious vs all other Michael bay movies. Pointless and long winded plot with a very forgettable ending. I hope this isn't a set up to spawn a whole bunch of movies, don't want to see '6 underground 6'

Basmati Blues (2017)

Awkward and cringe worthy.

Couple of years late, thought if she has done Captain Marvel has she made any other interesting movies. Oh No!! This is a movie made with half thought. Bollyoodised attempt by Hollywood. No please don't do it again. Brie delivers a half baked attempt at acting, as if someone twisted her arm to act in this awful plot of a movie. Weirdly Utkarsh Ambudkar actually had a decent performs. This love story is overshadowed by the silly rice mogul storyline which makes Donald Sutherland appear as a half cocked villain. What they should have done is either a straight forward Bollywood style love story or a Hollywood action story about cooperate corruption and distraction of the common man.

Watchmen (2019)

Complex show for an Alternate Vision of the World

Many shows have tried to switch roles of history, consider alternate realities. To see 'WHAT IF...!' We all know or can read about the history of the world. The racial tensions and the political mishaps. This isn't an American problem but a world issue. If you believe Racism doesn't exist in your neighbourhood then you are naive. a The watchmen historically addressed the dark side of realities, humanity, including the Racial tensions. The comic book and movie did address these issues in a bigger picture. The series has decided to start after events of the movie and so will develop characters, plots and subplots, with new characters and alternate story. (Otherwise like all comic book adaptations, it would have been a boring rehash of what we know and are familiar with).

This Series similar to 'The Man in the high castle' switched roles on us (what if the Germans had won the Great War). In the Watchmen - An alternate world where coloured people are in power (police) and white are the minority, seems an idea to explore.

In addition it's a comic book story platform - Fiction Aimed to get us to think. As the world still has not learned from mistakes of our ancestors.

We should all appreciate the positive and negative reviews. It's important and is the main point 'We all have a voice", whether we like it or not, everyone is allowed to voice an opinion.
