Annoying
2 January 2017
I guess from the subject line you were expecting me to slate the casting? Well on the whole it works. The main weak point was Tom Courtney's portrayal of Jones. Bil Nighy stands out as Sgt Jones and it was a pleasure to see the original vicar in character and the cameo from Ian Lavender. Story wise it is not the best, however by trying to match something so set in the public perception was always going to be extremely hard. So why am I annoyed? It's the very poor CGI which constantly catches the eye. Dull and flat. You can even see 1970's type outlines on characters.

As a film in it's own tight.it's worth a watch, just don't expect the earth.

OK, so this is about the German band Scorpions. They have been around for fifty amazing years. This documentary is in German, however there are English subs.

You see a lot about the 'farewell' tour and a bit of history. Glaring omissions which stopped me giving 10 include no interviews with either Uli or Francics, both of whom were vital to the band. It would have also been nice to have others input, for example Rudy. I saw the Blu-Ray and the sound is great and modern pictures look superb.

A previous review talks about the Scorpions loving themselves. Well if I had there talent I probably would too!
