The House (2022)
Excellent
This is mad and captivating, so yes, obviously I loved it.
And by all means - this is a product of genuine hard work. I truly enjoyed it, and it has been a while that I've seen a film that was as original both in the technical aspects as well as the story-telling itself. I hope Netflix continues to encourage and support film-makers to give us such unusual stories.
And yes, I think its an absolute shame originality does not get enough recognition, but is this something new? Not really.
This is an absolute must watch for every adult who sees the beauty of coloring outside the lines. And maybe continuing onto the walls, and then maybe the floors, hell, why not the whole House?
Young Royals (2021)
Gen Z a la royale
I love the strong and accurate representation Gen Z is getting at the moment. We've been getting blessed by some international portrayals of the Gen Z generation that are fresh, and show their talent.
The acting is solid, and overall I'm very happy to see a Swedish production bringing forth a good coming of age story. The drama is there, the glitter is there, and the beauty is certainly there too.
Season 2 left me wanting more.
At times the development is quite slow, but at this point I've accepted that it's part of their storytelling.
PS: I know some will disagree, but I really hope August and Sara make it. :)
The Adam Project (2022)
I actually really liked this
Good crew and solid acting, interesting storyline and very touching. It got me, and to be honest, I was sobbing by the end and I cannot remember the last time a movie made me cry so much lol. I loved Zoe Saldaña.
Don't Look Up (2021)
What the hell is happening in Hollywood?
A half-assed attempt to make something original. I almost find it offensive that they just pay lots of money to famous actors as to create an illusion that this movie is good and worthwhile, expecting people will just eat it up. It isn't. It's disappointing, and flat.
Hjem til jul (2019)
Please give us more!
No, this isn't a groundbreaking show but it definitely fulfills everything it was supposed to be, more than I expected. I love the Scandinavian perspective, there are many moments you just don't see in the English production series. It's refreshing, and warm, and relatable. The acting is also great. Really, sometimes you just need to relax, and this show hits the spot perfectly. Looking forward to next season!
