It's a cheesy Xmas movie, people need to lighten up
19 November 2023
A whole lot of grinches reviewing this movie...yeeesh....it's supposed to be a cheesy Xmas movie with actors that bring us back to our youth. Not some Scorsese film. It was cute and relatable, especially with the basis of those Braggy holiday letters everyone used to recieve every year (Heather Graham did my mother justice reading those letters every year) if you want something easy as background noise during the holidays while baking or cooking thats also family friendly, pop it on. It's a pleasant film and I loved seeing Brandy acting in a role in a movie after all these years....p.s. I thought the acting was fun and not atrocious....what do people expect when the headliner is "from the makers of the Princess Switch"

Those who haven't read the original manga will hate this....
5 May 2022
But if you are like myself, who has been obsessed since 1994, you will find this movie to be the perfect balance of the manga and the charm of the original series. Sailor Moon Crystal was developed to be an adaptation of the original manga, NOT re-do the original anime from many moons before. You don't have to like it, butt done hate on it because you haven't read the original source material.

Dont let the blah trailer fool you.....Kotaro is what the world needs right now
8 April 2022
The trailer for this show makes the anime look dull but let me tell you, I haven't watched an anime this wholesome and somewhat thought provoking since violet Evergarden (huge extreme/difference, I know) As the episodes carry on, you learn all about Kotaro and his proclivities and why he is the way he is but find joy in how he grows as well as influences his friends' growth . Long story short, you'll find yourself feeling more wholesome and wanting inner growth after watching this short but feel-good series.

And Just Like That...: Sex and the Widow (2022)
Season 1, Episode 7

The only episode that is slightly reminiscent of the SATC that we remember
13 January 2022
I'm probably being generous with a score of 8 for this episode, only because this episode felt like it had remnants of the writing style and humor that was in the original SATC that built the fan base. It's also the first episode that doesn't piss WOKE culture into the carpet and rub your face into it. I feel like this episode finally addressed the actual issues that I thought would be dealt with when I heard about the concept for AJLT with the realities of ghosting, intimacy issues after being married for so long, fertility issues and of course, love after loss. I honestly am very disappointed and bored with the series as a whole and only continue to watch it because I do enjoy seeing all the former series regulars on the show, but cant stomach the weak writing and how they redeveloped these once bold and loveable characters into hollow, geriatric versions of their former selves...like a bad high school reunion (great to see everyone, shocked that this is what they've made if themselves and you leave not wanting to revisit the past ever again)

But like I said, one of the better episodes up until the 25 minute mark (you'll get it, not that I'm a hater) but the fashion is an upgrade, there is an effort at ridiculous comedic situations that our girl Carrie would always bring upon herself and it doesn't hurt that the more "toxic" characters have very little screen time or dialogue. If you're ready to give up on the series, this episode gives you a little bit of hope and if not that, a little refresher on how our girls used to be.

Tiger King: Stark Raving Mad (2021)
Season 2, Episode 5
10/10
For what this series is (utterly bizarre), this episode deserves a 10
18 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Like all of us, I fell into the claws of Tiger King (pun intended) during Covid 19 lockdown and i was surprised that they had a Season 2 so soon. It's incredibly short in comparison to the first season and at times can become a little redundant with the back stories and the Don Lewis mystery and Carole Baskins blah blah blah...however, I realized that the second season is essential because it is relevant with everything going forward in the case of Joe Exotic as well as the mistreatment that these poor animals have had to suffer through with these roadside zoo's and instead of choosing a side to follow in the first season, the second season redirects itself to the creators of the series' original goal: Big Cats Zoos and are they cruel and inhumane? And the answer is an resounding YES! But the reason I voted this episode as a 10 is solely because of all the information that is coming forth in regards to the fabrications of lies that all these owners told to get Joe sent to prison as well as seeing each owner from the first season get the karma that they deserve for their heinous treatment of all those helpless animals...but the most gratifying part comes in the last 5 minutes where you can see where all the animals are transported to after being claimed by the authorities and how much better their lives are and how their new habitat is truly the place that they deserve to live in peacefor the remainder of their lives. It is sad to say that I'm looking forward to season 3 because they left it on an appropriate cliffhanger as the law plays out in present day and I really just wanna see Jeff and Lauren go to prison as well.

Nice break from reality
6 April 2020
This show is not perfect by any means but it definitely is endearing and a pleasant watch. What's nice is that it's cleverly written while being totally appropriate for kids and chuckle-worthy for adults. However, the hardest part of the show is watching the mom, Cassy....I appreciate the enthusiasm but her acting is VERY over the top with a lot of movement and it breaks up the flow of the scene....I can't decide if she's trying too hard to be a prominent character of the show or if she was made for Broadway/Theater acting.

Big Show is a fun actor who does a great job and the chemistry that he has with his daughters, especially JJ, is fun and endearing...honestly, I could probably just watch 26 minutes of those two with how funny they are together.

All in all, it's a fun rainy day watch especially when we're all stuck at home right now. I really would like to see a second season of the show, but I don't think that would be feasible unless they replace the mother...trust me, you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.

But Big props to Big Show *yes, I had to cheesey pun it* a nice surprise from him for sure
