Smart but violent
2 February 2023
It's a smart, very well constructed, very well written & acted show (Jeremy Renner is top notch and supporting cast is all-around great), but it's one of those rare times with a show or movie that I felt its violence a bit disturbing, it's just an endless repetition of violent scenes and plots, it feels at time a bit gratuitous and I feel sometimes a bit manipulated. This is a difficult show to review because despite all of that, I'm not against it at all, I think it's a good show but I would enjoy it a lot more I think with a bit more of restrain and humanity, sometimes it's just too much. Violence kills violence.

Shot on iPhone
10 February 2019
I know the camera (iPhone) must be a tiny tiny part of the whole equipment they're using for filming this movie, but I'm nonetheless impressed by the quality of the picture. I don't always like Soderbergh's movies, but I really appreciate he's always exploring new ways of filming, distributing, mediums, it's never the statut quo. A truly great professional.

Poetic
26 January 2019
I've found this documentary with its slow paced narration and editing quite apaising and somewhat poetic. I really enjoyed it, it's rather unusual in these times of fast cuts and over-feeding of information to adopt this counterpoint. I must confess I can not say I've seen a lot of Orson Welles' movies but after seeing this documentary I definitively plan to watch more of them. I also was impressed by how good he was at drawing, in summary a great all-around artist.

Masterpiece
22 January 2019
This movie is easy to review, it's a masterpiece. For a long time it was my favorite movie. Everything is great, the acting, music, story, directing. I would just add that you must carefully choose the version you watch, it exists multiple cuts, mostly thanks to harvey "scissor hands" weinstein. In my opinion although longer, the director's cut is the best, this is the one you should watch.

Best episode so far
21 January 2019
Outstanding episode, it is the brillant result of things building up in the previous episodes, it explains a lot. The story told is science fiction at its best, clever without being over-complicated. With the background informations learned in previous episodes you're able to deduce immediately what unfolds in this episode without everything to be spelled out, it's rewarding.

Underrated
19 August 2018
Easy to watch, underrated, I would put it in the same category than Flaked of Will Arnett but better. Great cast. It's all about social interactions, about helping each others after diificulties in life. I find it uplifting.

Enjoy the ride
6 March 2017
German road movie about two teenage boys going on German roads during summer vacations. It is a simple movie but very well executed and with a great cast. It makes you want to become young and fearless again, nostalgia, nostalgia, always a powerful sentiment. In background it tackles important topics including dysfunctional families and races.
