Dollface (2019)
8/10 Fun show, creative show
I wasn't sure at first, but it was a very funny and inventive show. It is refreshing to see an older 20s/early 30s demographic being showcased on this show, especially with three lead actresses that deserve the spotlight. There are format changes through the show that make it even more funny, such as sitcom or courtroom. It's just a really inventive show, with easy jokes and a good cast that make it entertaining and often laugh out loud.
Give it a shot!
Ugly Betty: Swag (2007)
If you're watching on Hulu...
I would recommend not watching this episode if you are watching in order on Hulu. I watched episode 10 and then 11 or 'SWAG' played and I was very confused. Nothing was the same and it's easy to tell this was supposed to air earlier and the network did not use it in an episode that was supposed to feature flashbacks.
Just skip it and keep watching this awesome show!
A Simple Favor (2018)
Simply Delectable
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I knew it was going to be good and different because of Fieg. It was intriguing from beginning to end. Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively were perfect. It was very refreshing to see Lively break down some walls of hers. She was cursing, crude, rude, incredibly well dressed, and down right good. This movie was incredibly well timed, filmed, and acted. If you want a great way to end the summer watch this film. It was witty, sexy, and intriguing.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
What an Adventure!
I am a huge Star Wars fan. I am the one the gets caught up in the timelines and facts. Yet, leading up to seeing SOLO, I didn't do any research. I went in with an open mind and no expectations and I have to say it was a great time! Right from the beginning it feels as if you are riding a ride at Disneyland. Sure, the story feels the same as some of the others, but isn't that a little what Star Wars is about? It's okay to be campy and the same. Visually, I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I enjoy a film that doesn't rely on CGI for every scene (think Marvel). It felt as if you were there and could feel everything within the scene. I give Alden credit for his portrayal, if you don't focus on the exact looks and glance the smirks and tone, than he did a great job as Han. The little eastereggs in the film are nice and the character we see in the end is interesting. Go into this film knowing that the Star Wars movies are here to entertain and allow us to explore a little bit of that universe ourselves. The trick to being a true Star Wars fan is being open-minded (I know it's hard..ahem, the prequels), but if I can do it, so can you! Go have a good time seeing Solo: A Star Wars Story.
