wow..this is bad. ... from casting to writing to acting... all bad
6 December 2018
I really wanted to like the show. However, either writing is horrible or the acting is terrible. everyone cant be this bad at acting.. so im gonna guess the writing.

its basically a really corny relationship soap opera with about as good of acting as you get in a soap opera. I mean its comically bad in some parts and so cheesy and the sci fi is even bad. what little there is of it.

I find the fact this is rated 7 out of 10 by my peers horrifying. and im not even gonna go into the cinematography. lets just say its not fringe...despite them trying to have a female walter...

and then there is the fact thier is no really likeable or even attractive characters... the detective lady has a huge mole and square jaw.. with thick black eyebrows... i mean is that a look... one of the main antagonists looks like hes 24 or something..

the fbi director.. vance...horrible dialogue and running around doing field work is so silly.. i mean seriously this guy is even less believable then the male lead protaganist who is prob the most unbelievable hero on a show since well.. ever...

it feels like they wanted to go with a diverse cast... and that was the main casting instruction above and beyond all else... talent was not the priority apparently.

i mean there is no real emotion in the show.. its like the actors are reading from the prompter... there feels like zero emotional attachment between cast. either that or the writer never has left the house his whole life and only thinks people interact like in bad hollywood movies...with cheesy dialogue that noone speaks like.. when your charachter says " i should have to say this out loud but" ... poor writing.

the connections between the cast it feels so non existant.

the ONLY one who salvages thier acting part is the 16 year old daughter who was in fresh off the boat... silly how they made her have the same haircut as her mother to try to pass off thier from the same family....

and the parents of the policewoman... oh my god the worst interactions in the show... the heart to heart talks with the detective woman... absolutly cringeworthy..lol. ... the father is the worst actor or the lasiest writing.

every episode is same thing.. get calling make mistake understanding it first time and screw something up... get it right second time.. lol.. that is this show.. over and over episode after episode...

gonna pass. i actually watched all nine episodes for laughs at the horrible acting and dialogue as for some reason. prob not what was intended... how was this greenlit? looks like broadcast tv is dead... and streaming is the way to go.

The 5th Wave (2016)
2/10
The worst movie I've seen in quite awhile
30 January 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Im not sure where all these glowing reviews are coming from.. this was probable the worst movie I've seen in awhile.

great cliché special effects.. for the first oh 10 min or so so.. then they are all done. Ill give it one more star for them though.

Most of the waves go by within like the first 15 min of the movie.

the rest is a cringe worthy teen love story for the next 2/3 of the movie.

Oh yea.. and you never see any actual aliens. just some people who are supposed to be controlled by aliens. the nice spaceship is just for show apparently. as its only in the first few minutes.

The whole show is about children ... with the few adults just authority figures.

many many plot holes. I thought the movie was 4 hours long it was so boring.. very little action, there was no pacing.. none. and the movie doesn't even have an ending.. It ends on a cliff hanger.. like they actually expect you to sit thru a sequel.. I want my 26 bucks back ..

just bad. If you are eight years old.. you may enjoy this.. If you have reached adulthood.. or even a teenager it will just be stupid.

do yourself a favor.. if you really want to see this wait for it to go on demand so you wont feel its a waste of money if you want to change the channel.

Cristela (2014–2015)

Horrible show. gets old really fast
22 March 2015
Im not sure if the aim was pull in the hispanic audience that watches like telenovellas on univision or something but it failed and is just bad.

Cristela little shtick is funny for a second then gets old really fast and then just becomes annoying and irritating. If she wasn't in it and it was just the supporting cast it may have potential...

another annoying character is the bosses daughter. who is also extremely irritating.

despite the laugh track. I find nothing funny about this show.

Judging by the nielsen ratings the shows days are number anyway. but I hope they don't try this again. just bad.

heck cristela is not even nice to look at..

Parallels (I) (2015)

A really good pilot... leaves you wanting more
13 March 2015
I was hoping this would become a series because there is so many possibilities.. infinite in fact, when you go with a storyline of parallel worlds.

The acting was very good. the characters were very likable and cmon you get to see constance wu from "fresh off the boat" with no accent whatsoever. :)

Ill be brief as I don't want to spoil anything but its well worth a watch.. and FOX .. please shop this to the syfy channel or something. though we may be waiting a bit now while fresh off the boat has its run...

Probably the worst show on television right now... but its a one seasoner anyway
13 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This show has some of the worst writing I have seen in awhile. I mean Im assuming no one watched the pilot at the network and just thought hey we can headline kathrine hiegl.. because it is total and complete garbage.

We are to believe. she is an all powerful CIA analyst who happens to to be the presidents son's girlfriend or fiancé or whatever.. and she does just about EVERYTHING in the CIA.. she briefs the president on the daily book, deals with the special ops teams on the ground herself, handles every single catastrophe that comes up herself.. makes decisions on whether to rescue a guy who for some reason looks exactly likes her ex boyfriend (they may have resolved this since.. I couldn't bare it anymore to watch that far) or to target a top terrorist... herself. she catches a spy who sneaks a cellphone in his hat to the CIA..yes his hat.. and she has her friend intercept him in some ruse... herself...all of this funny not by design material in the FIRST EPISODE. gee i want to be a CIA analyst..

Its like someone had a film class and said just throw me idea's no matter how stupid.. and then threw them all into the pilot... where did they find these writers.

Then lets take kathering hiegl.. at one time she was attractive.. that was many years ago apparently. now she is not so hot. yes, it is petty but her double chin is very distracting.. she has like one facial expression. and don't throw me in with people who care about her personal life.. because I couldn't care less what she does. but good acting in this show isn't something she does.

Its all irrelevant anyway.. the show has fallen to an 0.8 in the 18- 49 demo so.. we will not be seeing a season two of this atrocity ..

I actually feel my intelligence being insulted just tuning in. Im not sure if the other reviewers on here leaving the 10/10 reviews watched the same show as me or mistakenly tuned into something else and thought it was this show. writing can't get much worse. its even worse then flashforward was in that regard... bye bye state of affairs.
