Agui kkot: Hyun Su is not a Bad Person (2020)
More ups and downs
The show has moments of complete unbelievable occurrences, but despite them this episode is one of the best. They foreshadowed the twists in advance, so they were not a surprise, but if the last thing you see on earth is this serial killer killing you, it would be nice if he looked like that. Not that I am advocating for serial killers or death by someone else's hands, just saying. The show has been good at skirting around aspects and sweeping back in. There are some leaps as to what you would expect a character to do in light of new information, but they provide a reasonable enough explanation as to why they don't behave that way.
Grey's Anatomy: Leave a Light On (2020)
Alex and the viewers deserve better
Trying to justify this with that twist was an insult. Unless you were hoping Justin Chambers decides he wants to come back, you cheapened every development he made. If this is what you feel would satisfy your viewers, maybe it shouldn't have been renewed for multiple seasons. I think it's time to move on.
NCIS: New Orleans: Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom (2019)
Odd episode technically
It appears to have been filmed on the medium that soap operas are filmed on. The music was annoying and added little to nothing to the scenes they were used in. The cuts between characters are awkward and there are odd camera moves. Who thought that having the camera circling a character was a good idea? And the scene where two characters are leaving the building in the middle of the episode, not realistic at all.
Midnight Caller: After It Happened (1988)
After It Happened Episode
I have been searching for Midnight Caller for years and finally found it. This episode reminded me of why I thought it was important enough to keep looking for. AIDS was still a new disease and terrifying everyone thinking person (not those idiots who kept thinking it was 'a curse from G-d'). This episode was the first with Kay Lenz's character that dealt with what it truly was, and how it effected the different populations. This show was always well written and well acted, but seldom so relevant as this storyline at the time it was initially released. And even almost 30 years later, with AIDS not the automatic death sentence it was then, it's still relevant.
