Fight Club (1999)
Overrated... But still great!
17 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Everything was great in this film. In fact, this movie is perfect until it gets to the ending. David Fincher's directing is amazing, everyone in the film is a great actor, and I love how it was shot. The cinematography is great, and I had no complaints. Edward Norton's performance is one of my favorites, and I believe than Norton did a better job than Brad Pitt, and I also loved Brad Pitt's performance is awesome. And Helena Bonham Carter's performance was awesome as well, and I also liked her performance more than Pitt's. This movie was perfect... and then came the ending. Oh BTW, I'm going to get into spoilers, so if you haven't seen this film, don't read past this part.

Ugh. The ending. It ruins the perfection of this movie. I mean, how does this even work? If Edward Norton calls Brad Pitt on the phone, does he call himself on phone. But, thats impossible. I can't even talk about how stupid that moment is. Also, when Pitt is having sexy time with Helen Bonham Carter, Edward Norton's character is describing the noises and he is discussing about how annoying it is and he describes something. But... how is that possible? How did those things happen at the same time? What? And then the stupidest part....

If Edward Norton shoots himself in the throat, it kills Tyler Durden? Wouldn't it kill Edward Norton too, since they are the same person? What?

Don't take it seriously...
17 May 2015
This movie is very entertaining, and if you aren't a comic book fan boy, you will love this movie. But, if you don't like movies that are so bad they hilarious and very entertaining, you will hate this film. It is definitely not a movie that everyone will like, but it is very entertaining. The special effects are hilarious and over the top, and so is the acting. The dialog is very cheesy and hilarious, and again, very over the top. It is like "The Room" of action movies, but trust me, this movie is WAAAAAAY more entertaining the room, and it is WAAAAAY funnier than the room. This movie knows it dumb, and it doesn't take itself seriously. It's just a great movie to watch with friends, and I guarantee you will laugh at this movie. This is probably the best so bad its hilarious movie I've ever seen (its better than Samurai Cop!) Now, I gave this 10/10, and most people believe that this means that Punisher: War Zone is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's not. I give it a 10/10 because its one of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen, and it does everything it aims to do perfectly.

One Of The Best Movies Of 2014 (From the Movies I've seen from 2014, it is the best)
15 May 2015
Everything is excellent about this movie, and you can't argue about that. Sure, some people say it was boring, but from most people I heard this from, they are just people who like to watch a movie from entertainment purposes, and not just to experience a beautiful film with no flaws. This is a perfect movie. It has a great ending that leaves you to interpret what the movie could mean. The cinematography is fantastic, and so is the acting. Sure, some people might say that Emma Stone might be the weak-link out of all the actors, but I still thought she was great. And people will probably think that's a flaw, but all the other actors were FANTASTIC! Speaking of FANTASTIC, THE SCORE WAS FANTASTIC!!! I mean, it was just drums, but it was played in such a way that it fit in the movie perfectly!

A Modern Masterpiece: The Best Film I Have Ever Seen Since Birdemic
11 April 2015
Cool Cat Saves The Kids is a symbolic masterpiece directed by Derek Savage that is not only satirical in the way it makes fun of the media and politics, but in the way in questions as how we humans live life and how society tells us to live life.

Before I get into those details, I wanna talk about the special effects in this film. They are ASTONISHING, and it shocks me that Cool Cat Saves The Kids got snubbed by the Oscars for Best Special Effects. This film makes 2001 look like garbage, and the directing in this film makes Stanley Kubrick look like the worst director ever. You know what other film did that? Birdemic: Shock and Terror. Both of these films are masterpieces, but if I had to choose my favorite out of the 2, I would have to go with Cool Cat Saves The Kids. It is now my 10th favorite film of all time.

Now, lets get into the symbolism: So you might be asking yourself, Why is Cool Cat Orange? Well, I can easily explain. Orange is a color. Orange is also a fruit, and its a very good fruit. You know what else is good? Good behavior. What behavior does Cool Cat have? He has good behavior. This cannot be a coincidence, since cool cat has good behavior in the film.

Now, why is Butch The Bully fat? Well, fat means your wide. You wanna know who was wide? Hitler. Nuff said this cannot be a coincidence.

Why does Erik Estrada suspect Butch The Bully to be a bully? Well look at it this way. What color of a shirt was Butchy wearing when he walks into the area? I don't know, its looks like dark purple/dark blue. Why rhymes with dark? Mark. Mark is that guy from the Room. The Room is the best movie of all time. What is the opposite of best? Worst. This is how Erik knew Butch was a bully.

and finally, how come Vivica A. Fox isn't having a successful career after making Kill Bill.

I actually can't answer that question.

Well thanks for reading my review.

Grossly, Grossly, GROOOOOSSSSSLY Overrated!
4 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this movie 2 years after it came out, and everyone told me I must see it. Everyone said it was an underrated gem, and reading the reviews about this film, I was excited as ever! It even had a 97% on rotten tomatoes, which is really impressive.

So what did I get? Well, for everyone who said this movie is "unique", you probably think that a movie like Boyhood has never been done before., (Look up 35 up, 49 up, and 56 up) This movie felt like a made-for-TV movie that was delayed for 20 years. Hell, this movie wouldn't even connect with kids in the 1980s (which is when the movie takes place)

OK fine, enough of me complaining I'm gonna list all the flaws and go in further detail about them.

1. You have seen this film already (a billion times) This is your ordinary "oh I want to do something that I have to do with other people so I need to find another person/people to help me" type of film. And then they have to work hard to get that person to get them into doing what they want and then later they get into a fight, and everything turns out OK and then they do the thing they wanted to do and the film ends. Unique right? This film makes Synecdoche, New York look like something a 10 year old would come up with (obvious sarcasm 2. How the kids are "so punk" This is probably the thing I hate the most. I love punk music, and I know it's tough to make an aggressive and hateful human being likable, but that doesn't count as an excuse. The kids are REALLY REALLY unlikeable. They are just egotistical pieces of crap and you really hate them. And when we are supposed to feel sympathy towards them (because the other kids make fun of them) you really don't feel anything.

These things pop up a lot in the film, so thats why I give this film a negative review. Other than that, nothing above average happens in this film. The directing is OK, the cinematography is OK, the acting is OK. The only praise I have for this film is that the band doesn't become amazing at the end (and that's realistic for a band that didn't practice a lot and goofed off.
