Best film I saw all year!
18 January 2015
I saw this movie at a special premiere in a local theater that was also showing other popular films (such as Jersey Boys, etc). I had to try to see it on three different days because most of the shows were sold out. I totally enjoyed the movie; it was funny, romantic, and had some surprises, including a message that really related to me (my friends and I are still talking about it). I also felt that Jarret LeMaster did an excellent job as Jake, a successful young man climbing the corporate ladder when his crooked boss pinned the blame for dishonest deals on him. On the run from the FBI, he escaped to his small hometown in Texas where he rekindled with his family and old girlfriend (Jen Lilley). When offered his job back, Jake was faced with some difficult decisions. Also, Mark Withers, as Jake's dad, was hilarious as he mumbled and stumbled around trying to guide Jake. I think that the writer/producer Shawn Svoboda really hit the mark on a relevant and interesting story. I heard that the DVD is coming out for Valentine's Day and will also be closed captioned so my deaf friends can see it too.
