Master of None: Moments in Love, Chapter 1 (2021)
Season 3, Episode 1
Beautiful.

Warning: Spoilers
If you're looking for those same whacky, funny moments we had in the first two seasons, this ain't it - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm a little upset Dev, Ryan and Arnold aren't in this season, as much as I'd hoped they'd be, but that's okay. We still have the wonderful Lena Waithe playing the lovable Denise who has found both success and happiness in her life and the fact that we as an audience get to experience her 'Moments in Love' is quite, for lack of a better word, refreshing. This season is more or less more mature than the previous two and there's nothing wrong with that. I get why people might wonder why Ansari even bothered to use this show as an outlet for this season's story, but why not? It is his show after all, and if he wants to tell another character's story through Master of None, then he has a right to do so. People forget, Master of None's main underlying plot element has always been love - finding it, questioning it, challenging it, and this season focuses on just that.

If you're a fan of the previous two seasons, and were hoping for Dev in New York with his loveable gang of friends, then I'm sorry to disappoint you in saying that you won't find it in 'Moments of Love'. But what you will find is a beautiful, tranquil story with some pretty imagery and lovely scenes between characters, and if you can appreciate that, then you're in for a treat.

Don't bombard this season with bad reviews because you feel cheated, try and see that shows have a right to change, they have a right to mature, and they have a right to break away from the norm and tell us new stories.

Good concept, bad writing, and terrible characters

I'm not usually a fan of Zack Snyder's movies, but I do enjoy his visuals from time to time - maybe he should just stick to directing and leave the writing to those who know how to actually write a good movie with some interesting characters because this movie is just downright bad.
