Wild Child (2008)
8/10
Evergreen

I saw this for the first time when I was 11, continued to watch it throughout my teenage years, and now in my twenties I decided to watch it again. Wild Child is simply a happy movie. It's ridiculous and at times embarrassing but it's also funny and wonderful. No matter how young or old I've been it has always left me with a smile on my face. It's very early 2000s and occasionally outdated but brilliant in its own right. Wild Child is a light rom-com with friendship and mischief and if you go in knowing what you'll get you won't be disappointed. In my eyes, this movie will always remain as an instant pick me up, no matter what the critics say.

Camp rock but make it Christian
28 March 2021
It had potential and some of the songs were okay, the execution just wasn't there. I went in open minded thinking it wasn't going to be as preachy but unfortunately it was. Basically a story about an atheist finding God. The story was extremely predictable and hit every trope but that's pretty usual for movies like this. I liked the main guy's voice but the other performances were meh. If you're not a fan of Christianity and don't believe in God I'm not sure you will like this. If you have any negative feelings towards the religion you probably won't. The movie wasn't complete trash but nothing good either.

Beautiful in its simplicity

A simple, beautiful slice-of-life movie about two people coming together and learning to love. The cinematography was stunning and I was left with a smile on my face. It is a simple movie in its essence but lovely in every way. Watching this felt like taking a deep breath in the middle of a busy day.
