overall, a really great show, with great comedic talent, including the guest stars
11 August 2023
This series deserved much better than what it received - this is another of Lucy's series that I would gladly watch over and over, I would love for it to have had a second season, Ann Sothern would have been a great guest star to have had on. The theme was very catchy and inspiring, and the show very uplifting, while dealing with interesting personalities and situations. Lucy's comedy was as good as ever, the child stars were great, as well as the adult supporting cast. And who hasn't wanted to operate a hardware store? I find myself thanking Lucy for all of the hard work she put into this series. Now of course, going back in time - in 1986 I was 24 years old - and I would have to check what else was on the tv schedule to see what I would have watched back then - but this is definitely one of the shows I would have considered watching with my mom - and I think my mom would have enjoyed this series a great deal.

I really liked this
6 June 2023
This movie is a fun watch, almost no tension, as so much is "badly" done, the bottom line, I found it entertaining enough to want to watch it with friends, watching the perspective change, the ability to identify obvious models, things that you should not be seeing, such as the additional small wheel supporting half of a jeep cut in half - but overall, I applauded the effort for the production of an entertaining movie, and one that apparently brought it some much needed money for a poor country. And of course, watching the Mystery Science 3000 version with all of the comic dialogue and skits makes it even better.

The Munsters (2022)

Great movie!
26 March 2023
I really enjoyed this fresh take on the Munsters - loved the original series, which should have ran far longer than it did. I loved how Lilly and Harman were portrayed by different actors, and it was apparent that a lot of effort went into them studying the original actors, and yet still bringing a different take to them, while still paying homage to the great acting of the original Munsters cast. The filming was fantastic, sets were great, and it was obvious that a lot of "fun" was injected into this remake. I also loved the previous remake "1313 Mockingbird Lane" which would also have been a great series if picked up by the Network. This is a movie I will want to own, and watch on occasion.

A different take on Batman
19 October 2022
Interesting point of view on Batman, he is not so perfect. Sometimes good intentions don't cut it - this was thought provoking, was not amateurish as I suspected, was well acted, and edited. Not for kids, this is a movie worth watching. When I read the bios of the actors, they were all very experienced, making one forget this was not a super expensive large budget movie. I didn't anticipate what was developing, it kept you wondering just exactly what the deal was with this "bad guy" in the movie - what motivated him? All was explained in the end, though not a "feel good" movie, this was definitely worth watching.

The Ann Sothern Show: The Freeloader (1960)
Season 2, Episode 22

Great episode - a few good twists and turns
29 September 2022
Great episode with great talent - a lot of the usual crew, plus guest stars. How will Katy stop a very expensive freeloading "guest" - of the hotel? Can she get the large expense back from the freeloader? I love the Ann Sothern show, and as usual, great sets, interesting personalities, and I love looking at the sets. A step back in time to look at the old Hotel atmosphere, what the Presidential Suite would look like, what was cutting edge service at a hotel around 1960, as well as the equipment used in the industry at that time. Ann Sothern, Ann Tyrell, and the rest of the cast always look great on camera.

I loved this movie - the filming techniques and animation is awesome, and lots of fun educational system woven in for people like me that are not that knowledgeable about space and science - this is a movie I want to buy and watch with friends - several times -

Kathy Nolan is sadly missing from the last season
27 February 2022
Tina Louise shone as a country cousin, coming to help out at the farm house. However, Kathy Nolan's disappearance from the series really wounded this series. As I researched this, seems like Kathy Nolan was screwed on this series by not being allowed to ask for the an appropriate amount of money. Even the theme song beginning and ending appears to be out of place, being hastily rewritten to match the characters that are no longer appearing in the last season.

The Real McCoys: Back to West Virginny (1961)

Great classic tv show episode
19 February 2022
This episode deals with the respect of very elderly family members, and what is important to them - over the objections of younger family members who want to sell the land right from under their patriarch. This also deals with the McCoys going back to visit West Virginia relatives - and see how they have fared as compared to their California living - very good show.

a nice take on frosty the snowman, and neat animation and style
6 December 2020
I loved this - kids in a world with little fun, where everything has to be spotless and perfect - and to have the snowman "outsider" blow in, and show the fun of throwing snowballs, without hurting anyone - and that the adults aren't necessarily "right" on every subject - love the 50's animation of the cars - burt reynolds is great as the narrator, voice actors are great - a fun holiday presentation -
