Thiruda Thiruda (1993)
Entertaining movie
I usually dont write reviews but felt like writing one for this movie as I enjoyed and also likes a couple of songs in it. I found it strange that there are so many negative reviews for this movie. I wouldnt call it a master piece but at the same time is way better than the majority of the tamil movies out there. Its got a good plot and good music to go along with it.
Leila (2019)
Dont trust the 10 ratings.
After seeing so many conflicting reviews, I decided to watch the series and felt like I was watching some political propaganda piece. What happened to Netflix - please don't spoil your quality by letting in Hate mongers and propaganda directors.
The Series:
Too damn slow - I like slow series (with good suspense ) but this one is just pushing it. I mean the whole episode 1 should have taken 10 minutes even in a slow mode. Nothing really happened.
Acting - Could have been better - With a storyline like this - I felt more emotions could have been shown by the characters.
And frankly for a dystopian society I was expecting more visuals and cinematography. This feels like it was shot in a low budget in a village type movie set with a occasional advanced tech thrown in so that the viewers get reminded this is the future else it looks like a present day village from some parts of the world.
Music - again for this type of a story setting a better music score should be chosen - please watch a series like Dark where the music is integrated so flawlessly to go with the theme.
At the end - it feels like a waste of my time but since am in lock down and have already watched movies like "Jurassic Prey" and "Sharknado" I might give this one a shot.
