Abgeschnitten (2018)
Really Horrendous Overacting
The reactions to things are taken to the furthest possible extent. This director really understands how most people devour drama and don't stop to think how realistic it is. The overacting and reactions taken to extremes made this movie a chore to watch.
Sputnik (2020)
Closer to ET than Alien or even Life.
This movie is long on atmosphere, romance and evil humans, and short on fear or an intimidating, terrifying alien presence. It promises many things it never delivers and the alien is so ambiguous, as to it's plan or motivation. Nothing gets resolved, really. And who needs two love-birds in this setting, anyway? I was very disappointed, after all the alien chatter. And what was up with that ending? Is the woman in a biologically symbiotic state with the girl/boy(not sure) she has never met and has no reason to connect to?
I Spit on Your Grave III: Vengeance Is Mine (2015)
Man Hating Feminist Garbage
They wanted to make a political statement and used the "I Spit On Your Grave" franchise as the vehicle to draw viewers in. I hope I never have to see that obnoxious Landon woman ever again. Wow she was annoying.
Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)
Elitists Being Themselves
This is a very shallow movie with no likeable characters and no decency. Hollywood so often portrays artists of one type or another (writers, artist and curators most often) and less often average people. It shows us what these smug elites truly think of us. Just not at all enjoyable watching these people of little substance or morals.
The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2019)
Outrageous Fabrications
From the story line to the dialog, this movie left realism behind. One line of Dialog that really bothers me is "I'm all about" as Sharon Tate said. People didn't use this expression in Sharon Tate's day. There were many other flaws in the dialog, too many to list. And the rest of the movie was ridiculous. They even added a female bad**s element that is so 2010s. And was only there to please feminists and millennials.
Overlord (2018)
Nothing New
It was a quality production technically. But it was way too predictable and there was way too much Leftist narrative promoted for it to be anything special.
