Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
An excellent movie for anyone who thinks for themselves
I have seen all the Indiana Jones movies, starting with the original in the movie theater. And despite all the negative reviews, I am here to tell you that the dial of Destiny is a solid, very enjoyable and excellent film.
Sometimes when it comes to reviews, people are sheep. I've seen it 100 times on the Internet. One of the first reviewers is a hater, and everyone after that decides to follow suit. But I really believe that anybody who watches this film with half of a heart is going to have a great time! Don't believe the haters, decide for yourself.
I was really impressed by everything, the storyline, the cinematography, I love time travel. I even liked the new female costar that everybody's bagging on here. And by the way, it's very hard for a woman to pull off costarring next to Harrison Ford, and I thought she did a great job. There were a few times she made me smile or laugh. I enjoyed her because she managed to be a strong willed, entertaining character, without trying to be a man.
The plot has to do with the great scientist Archimedes and time travel, and it was really fascinating. Harrison Ford is such a great actor you could feel his wonder at being in a completely different time. As a scientist myself, I loved it when he figures out why the bad guy's experiment was about to fail!
Just for once, dismiss all the haters and check it out for yourself. It's a fantastic film.
City Island (2009)
Funny and touching
I agree with a lot of the reviews here, but they have failed to mention the mov movie's most powerful moment. It involves Tony, Vince's son. He grew up fatherless and ended up in the penitentiary, so it's incredibly moving at the very ring when he finally embraces his long lost father. Kudos to Steven Strait for embracing the power of that moment.
