1408 (2007)
One of the greatest horror films I've seen in a long time...actually scary for once.
I see horror movies on TV, I see them in theaters or on DVD and they're usually okay, but not scary...maybe a creepy moment or two. But "1408" actually freaked the crap out of me. Really, it could have been scarier but this one actually got me tense and at the edge of my seat with my heart racing. So that surprised me. Good for them. I think the moment that just got me the most was when he was looking out the window and he saw someone that looked like him and did everything he did, and the guy with the hammer comes behind him and is swinging it at him. The entire theater was screaming as if someone had brought a gun in there and shot somebody. It was intense and really got me. I think that if he was in the hotel and he was just locked in, that would've been pretty boring. What really grabs you is that he's locked in and there is no possible way out. Everything changes, it's like he's not even in a real world anymore. For example: Him screaming and no noise was made, him on the side of the building trying to crawl to a new window and all the windows were gone, the "ways out" just didn't work anymore. Stuff like that. Also it grabs you with the whole thing "is it real? Is this real? Is he imagining it?". The ending kinda confused me though...maybe that was the point.
I recommend this to any horror fan.
My Score: 8/10
The Cheetah Girls (2003)
Yeah, this is pretty much the worst movie on TV.
This movie was terrible. I was expecting something average because it's Disney Channel, but what I saw, blew me away. It was so bad. I can't understand how it was so well-liked by girls or guys. The songs were trash, the acting was terrible, and that was not a story. The ending was just the worst part. The dog is stuck in a hole, and they get it out by singing? That was bad. I don't understand that. This, in my opinion, is the worst movie on TV. The second one looks no better. Don't waste your time.
Bad movie.
My score: 1/10
Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties (2006)
It was okay.
I'm a fan of the Garfield comics, I saw the first movie and enjoyed it. The second movie, "Garfield's A Tail Of Two Kitties", was about the same. I didn't like it any better or any worse than the first film. It wasn't a "laugh out loud" film. The funny parts make you smile or make you laugh a little. The special effects for Garfield looked a bit better than the first movie's. The story was pretty good, I thought it was clever at some parts. The movie could have been better, but it was enjoyable. It's a good family film, if you want to spend some time with your kids or family then see this.
My score: 7/10
Unfabulous (2004)
Unfabulous alright.
I thought I'd give the show a chance. I give almost every show a chance. I've seen a few episodes and they are terrible. Why is that one boy always hanging out with those two girls? Does he have any friends that are boys? I've never seen a boy do that in real life, which makes this show fake. The acting is bad. It's so fake. The show covers the same things every other teen show covers, only this one isn't good. It's never funny. I haven't even smiled during a part. When something in the show happens that's sad, it's not sad. It's fake and dumb.
I don't like it. Sometimes I think I'll hate a show but when I watch it I end up liking it. But this one isn't like that.
2/10.
X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
Great movie, not as good as X2.
I liked this movie a lot. It had a lot of action in it and the fight scenes were very entertaining. I also liked the score. The movie was a little rushed and way too short. The end of the movie didn't seem rushed at all though. The movie was very funny. In my opinion, it is the funniest Marvel movie to date. It had the whole theater laughing. The only things that needed to be worked on is the time, and some of the lines. Some of them were corny. Most of the acting was pretty good though. I think X2 was just a bit better than this one. If you have seen the first two movies and liked them, see this one. If you haven't, watch them and see this one. It's really a fun movie.
10/10.
Spider-Man (2002)
The best superhero movie!!!!!!!!!!!
This movie had everything, action, adventure, drama, comedy, it was sweet! Sure some parts of it were corny, but it isn't Spider-Man if it isn't corny, that's what I like about Spider-Man. The movie's plot was perfect, Green Goblin made a great villain, the special effects were amazing, and Tobey was a good Peter Parker. I think this movie was good for all ages, and perfect for all Spider-Man fans. Spider-Man's costume was a good updated version from the original, Green Goblin's costume was really good too. There were good action scenes with great music, Danny Elfman is good for Spider-man. See this movie and I'm sure you'll like it. I give this movie thumbs way up!
