I don't understand all the bad reviews. Surely people who watched the original Penny Dreadful were aware that it wouldn't be the same characters? May I also say that some of these reviewers are showing their racism and unwillingness to acknowledge that it exists when they it a mere political drama with 'left' leanings. So typical
That said, I binged watched this and can't wait for the next season. I hope there is a next season. Natalie Dormer did an amazing job playing the different characters. She truly chooses no sides in trying to reek havoc and destruction. It's her one singular mission. I love how the storylines all came together. If it's one thing you see in this series is that everything is affected by something. There is a lot of grey area as those who are good have to do bad and vice versa. You really see how the death demon uses politics, sex, and race to spread chaos. Well done!
