Lost in the Pacific (2016)
Give it a chance!
Definitely not that bad sci-fi/thriller flick with some horror elements, as some of the folks say. If you go into a cinema open minded and if you are a fan of movies from this genre, there is a high chance that you will like it. This is not a Hollywood blockbuster, but a movie from the Chinese Production., with a nice cast, some very effective CGI scenes and solid director's work. The story is not so original but was good enough for me to enjoy the movie. I couldn't find some major plot holes, because the story is not that complex to understand and follow. I would recommend it and it deserved 6/10 rating from me! Go and give it a chance.
Saved by Grace (2016)
The Pain of Loss
In modern film history it can be hard to find good dramas of any value these days Saved by Grace happens to fall into this category. This is clearly more than just another Hollywood movie. The setting of the story takes place in a quiet suburb of the United States, with Joey Lawrence starring as Rick. Rick who is a cop is finding it impossible to get over his traumatic experience of witnessing the love of his life being murdered. The actor Joey Lawrence is a talented performer on screen and knows how to embody the character Rick and you can tell he feels the inner conflict going on inside of Rick. Everything is fine with the movie except that the character of Rick could've been better developed. His character should develop more gradually and in the movie the change was extremely drastic. In real life nobody can become a new man especially after going through a major loss like him. Part of what makes movies successful in entertainment is believability and this flaw in the film might diminish that a little.
Olympus (2015)
Creativity is the Key to the Riddle
There have been all sorts of TV series in the past but I don't think that the creativity came anywhere close to that of Olympus. Olympus from my stand point is a fascinating film about how to get into the gates of Olympus which rumor has it will lead to immortality. The stunts in the first episode were so quick, witty, and lightning-speed fast. There was no stopping Hero from accomplishing his goal of defeating the bandits in front of him. I love the clever rope and gadgets they gave the warriors in the TV series. It makes the ancient battlefield so exciting. For some reason I thought that a story about a topic this old would be boring. On the contrary it seemed to be more interesting than I previously thought. So then I have to say this is a great piece but I don't like the reality that Syfy spent a lot of $$$ on useless stuff. For instance I believe that some of these things like the Cyclops is from a 90's video game. However some might say that this is actually what makes the story more colorful.
