The Last Movie Stars (2022)
Good intentions poor follow through.
Having been a Newman/Woodward fan for 40+ years I was truly excited to watch this. The title pulls you in, and the rest puts you to sleep.
Hawke could have knocked this out of the park, but it was a foul ball.
He is all over the place with this documentary, it's disjointed and just wanes as it goes on.
Brilliant concept with amazing footage as well as the gold mine of Paul's transcript of interviews but Hawke just never seems to pull it together in a clear concise way unfortunately. Instead of letting the actors/information speak for itself he and the other narrators spend to much time oogling, and dissecting it.
Too much time spent on the zoom conversations, analyzing, (obviously) shot in 2020 when they were all cloistered and bored.
Good intentions poor follow through.
Because I Said So (2007)
Painful, absolutely painful.
Normally anything with Diane Keaton is worth a watch. However the over acting in this is really exhausting to watch. Brandy Moore is a terrible actress, the storyline is horrible. Don't bother with this one.
Samson (2018)
Do NOT waste your time....
This was painful to have to sit through, torture basically. The bigger names that were in this were the only wavering grace, their parts to small to make this worth seeing.
Over acting, choppy disjointed storyline, nothing flowed.
The script, the accents, the screenplay horrible.
Not worth spending a dime on.
