Eaten by Lions (2018)
Great laugh, good story.
Despite the low budget, the team behind this made a good quality and fun film. I've seen a few lower budget movies in my time and most seem to have that rough edge finish to them but this is nicely polished. The only thing I can fault it with is slightly stale acting but looking past that, it's a good little movie.
Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (2021)
The cast is so good the writing not so much.
Loved the first one, but damn the writing is awful and the entire movie has no semblance of reality. I suppose it's like most 80's action movies in that sense. But if you want a fun movie that you don't really need to pay attention too, this is it.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
That was amazing!!!
That scene towards the end, I wanted to yell out in excitement but it was 5am and I don't think they would share my enthusiasm. Fantastic all around. Everyone will get a kick out of this movie.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
I really enjoyed it, sod what the critics say.
Give it a watch for yourself, you'll either like it, love it or just feel like it's a meh movie can't see many people truly disliking it.
Mom and Dad (2017)
The Rage Cage
Funny, gruesome and cage at his craziest but the ending annoyed me, I wanted to see if they found the origin of the static mind control and whether it could be cured, maybe a sequel where the kids attack the parents 😂
USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage (2016)
CGI ruined a okay movie.
The acting is okay apart from a few who were really bad, the script is a little meh, the set design was quite good but damn it, the CGI was awful. They turned a below average movie into a complete joke.
Unforgivable.
Les Misérables (2012)
Not many movies make me cry.
I'm not a massive fan of musicals, I find them a little too corny and over acted, I constantly have an annoying voice saying "why are they singing this" but I suspended that part of my mind and I'm so thankful I did, this is a masterpiece. I was so tearful throughout this, not many movies have made me cry so you know how well made this truly is.
Time (2021)
The BBC have done it again.
The BBC, they have been creating some of the most moving, thought provoking, gut wrenchingly beautiful dramas for a good few years now, this is yet another masterpiece. Watch it, you won't be disappointed, but maybe tearful.
I'm not go with words but I only need one

Cruella (2021)
Wouldn't have watched it but...
I wouldn't have watched it but my little sister loved 101 Dalmatians when she was younger and wanted to watch this, and wow I really enjoyed it, it's got a sense of "wicked" about it, someone who is seen as a villain but you get to see their back story and realise they are that way for a reason.
I have one issue though. They have made cruella too likeable and I'm not sure how a sequel would work. They would have to shift her character from protagonist with some bad qualities to a full on antagonist if they are going to follow the original story of 101 Dalmatians. I can't think of a way they could change her so massively, oh well, I look forward to seeing the next one despite my concerns.
Coming 2 America (2021)
Totally get the criticism but....
Yeah I get it, everything coming out these days has to be politically correct and it just takes away from the story but put that to one side, (like I find myself having to do on a frequent basis) this is a fine movie, it's a good laugh and should act as a nice little call back to the original.
Lighten up and enjoy the movie for what it is.
Breaking Bad (2008)
One thing let's it down for me.
Can't remember much of it apart from it was awesome but the one thing that lets it down are the fluff and filler episodes sometimes it take an age to get to the end of a plot because the writers and directors have to make it to the minimum episode threshold.
Cockneys vs Zombies (2012)
5.9 out of 10?
Lot better than that, some great comedic moments in this, shame it was never followed up.
American Psycho (2000)
Mixed feelings but very clever and funny.
I think the acting is very good, it shows a person who is at the very peak of psychopathy someone who has no empathy, moral compass or emotion and is completely engulf by there ego.
On this point they hit the mark but at times it is very hard to watch because of the gratuitous sex scenes, this is just down to personal preference but it just make me feel uncomfortable. For anyone else who doesn't mind these scenes you'll enjoy it.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010)
Ignore the critics
10 years ago this movie was made, I've had it on my watch list for a while, my mum being a Nicolas cage fan I thought I stick it on and give it half an hour to prove itself and it did.
It's a damn good movie, a little cringe in parts but that mainly because I don't like romantic stuff.
The graphics are top notch considering it's a decade old.
I'll say this about all movie reviews whether from critics or from your average movie goers, take them all with a pinch of salt because we all like different genres.
