BTS: Yet to Come in Cinemas (2023)

I have seen this in the theater that I work at 4 times and counting and it gets better and better every time. So glad they extended it till Thursday. The vocals are so crisp and clear. Every song is a hit. BTS never disappoints. I love them and I am a straight male. Personally my favorite song is Dope. That song is so so good. The dancing was on point as always.

Army this made 9.5 million dollars. ARMY Im so glad that we all have stuck with these amazing human beings. They are talented and so gifted.

If you are a fan of BTS, then you have to go see BTS Yet To Come In Cinemas. It's a must for sure!!!

Bros (I) (2022)

Unfunny and just not good

This movie was not funny at all. I am straight, but I do support the LGBTQ+ and I loved the message of the movie, but when it came to the comedy aspects it was just not funny at all and it was advertised as a comedy. The acting if you call having sex for a whole movie acting was really good. I walked into this movie knowing what I was getting myself into, but when I walked out I was just disappointed. It is obvious why it bombed at the box office.

This movie was trying to do something different and it failed at doing what it was trying to do. I may have laughed maybe at two jokes, but other then that nothing. There were 4 other people in my theater watching it with me they all left early.

Don't waste your time watching Bros.

Smile (V) (2022)

Smile was terrifying

Smile was one of the most fun and terrifying experiences I have had in the movie theater this year. I walked into this movie not scared, I walked out with wet pants, yes I peed my pants I screamed and jumped that much. The movie had so many jump scares it was like every 5 to 10 minutes.

The only reason I'm not giving this movie a perfect 10 is because I never heard of any of the actors before and I always like to know at least one or two of the actors, but they did an extremely great job in this movie and hope to see more of them in the future, because they were really good. I say this movie is in the top three best horror movies of the year. This, Barbarian, and The Black Phone are the best horror movies of the year.

Don't Worry Darling (I) (2022)

Harry Styles

So the main reason I went to see Don't Worry Darling was because it stared Harry Styles. While Florence Pugh and Chris Pine were absolutely fantastic, Harry fell a bit flat. Let's say this his acting was so bad it made the movie even better.

Overall though the movie itself was fantastic the visuals were some of the best that I have seen. Don't Worry Darling has a mix of all my favorite genres in one. Horror, Suspense, Thriller and have you on the wedge of your seat, and that's the way this movie got me.

This movie would have been a solid 10 if it wasn't for Harry's horrible acting. Like I said his acting was so bad that it made it even more entertaining. Overall it was a very very great movie.

Moonage Daydream (2022)

An out of this world experience

Moonage Daydream is one of the best films that I have had the honor of sitting through this year. Brett Morgen is an absolute genius, he chose the best of the best footage to put in the documentary and the footage he put was absolutely awesome.

David Bowie is one of those musicians that is just timeless and this documentary shows that. The footage was like nothing I have ever imagined. This needs to win some type of Academy Award it is so damn good. The Bowie Estate should be very proud of Mr. Morgen for giving Bowie the respect that he deserves.

I left my theater speechless. It is arguably one of the best films of the year.

The Woman King (2022)

The blockbuster of the year

This is the movie that I had no clue that I needed. The Woman King is the best movie that I have seen since Top Gun Maverick. Viola Davis killed it in this. Give this lady an Oscar for this performance. John Boyega deserves a Oscar for Supporting actor.

This movie was non stop action packed from the beginning to the end. I loved the filming location Africa is beautiful place and definitely was the right choice for this movie.

This movie really should be seen on an IMAX screen or a PLF screen. I saw it on a PLF. This movie should be as big as Maverick it's that wonderful, but people need to see it so everyone that loves it spread the word.

Pearl (2022)

Disappointed for sure

First of all I loved X, so I was really looking forward to seeing Pearl. I was highly disappointed in how the movie came out. It felt very rushed in my opinion. Mia Goth was fantastic though she deserves an Academy Award for her role, but other then that the movie sucked.

It was beautifully shot, but again it felt like A24 told them that it needed to be out before the end of the year and it was quantity over quality. Who knows I may have been in a bad mood or something and maybe I need to rewatch it. Pearl though I thought was a flop.

Then they already have a third one coming out called Maxxxine. Like we need a third one.

Jaws (1975)

Jaws a triumph

So I just saw Jaws for the first time ever at the theater I work at last week in 3D and I am hooked. It was such a great movie. The 3D was also really good.

I knew of all of the famous quotes from this movie, but I didn't realize how many there were. This movie was so damn good that I saw it twice in the same week.

The acting was also so good. I love how cheesy the shark was. I'm so use to CGI that I couldn't help but laugh at the shark. I screamed a lot though I mean a lot.

This movie deserves a proper reboot like what they did with Top Gun Maverick. Take your time and make a worthy legacy film. Also make it R rated.

The Invitation (II) (2022)

Had its moments

The Invitation definitely had its brilliant moments, but fell flat for the ending product. I love the whole vampire concept because I'm a huge Twilight fan, but it felt like at times it was trying to hard to be like Twilight.

The Pros of this movie are that it had a new and fresh cast that was youthful and it just really made it fun. The Actress was also easy on the eyes. The action scenes were decent to say the least.

The Cons were pretty much everything else. The CGI was crap. The story was all over the place. At times it felt like I was watching something made for TV and not the theaters.

Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022)

Don't waste your time and money

Don't waste your time and money on this crap of a so called movie. I love Idris Elba, but damn this movie sucked. So I saw this at a theater that I worked at and my coworkers saw me walking out and they said it must be bad if your leaving. It has been one of the worst movies I have seen this year by far.

I don't know what they were thinking making a movie like this. I love British humor, but this was not even funny it just sucked.

The best part of the movie is when I left the theater. I am so sad that I hated this because I really wanted to like it. Idris please choose better roles for now on.

Barbarian (2022)

There is nothing like this

There is nothing playing like Barbarian. It is absolutely terrifying while also having some laughs in between the craziness. I personally liked that because the comedy blended itself really well with the horror aspect of it.

The actors were superb. I love Bill he was fantastic in It and It Chapter 2 and he was fantastic in this movie. Justin Long for me though stole the show. I'm a huge fan and lately his roles have not been huge so I'm glad he is getting the recognition he deserves.

There is not one dull moment in this movie. It will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Definitely the HORROR MOVIE OF THE YEAR HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!

Beast (I) (2022)

It was really good after the first 45 minutes

So the first first 45 minutes of this movie were just awful I mean it dragged like crazy it was so bad, but after that this film got really really good. Idris Elba is a phenomenal actor and this movie shows off the acting chops. I love watching movies more then once, but to be honest this movie just didn't have that star ability.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022)

Dragon ball never disappoints

Dragon ball never disappoints and Super Superhero was no exception. From start to end it was spectacular. The fight scenes were unlike anything I have ever seen maybe except Super Broly. This is a movie you need to see either on an IMAX Screen or a PLF Screen. I saw it on the PLF Screen at the theater that I work at and I was speechless. Fantastic movie for the fans and I bet new fans will be made because of this movie.

Parents go see it take your kids take the family yes it's PG-13, but it's great

Fall (I) (2022)

Fall more like Fall asleep

This movie was a dud. The actresses were hot, but other then that this movie sucked. It's getting two stars because how good looking the actresses were. So I work at a movie theater and I guess I hated the movie so much because my coworkers had to wake me up when it was over.

I don't recommend this movie unless you want to take a good 80 minute nap.

Vengeance (II) (2022)

Close to perfect, but slow ending

This review would of been a 9 9.5 maybe even a 10 if the ending didn't feel like it dragged and felt like 2 hours. I really enjoyed the film until the ending. Everytime I thought it was over it kept on going.

Now John Mayer, Aston Kitcher, Dove Cameron, and the star of the show, B. J. Novak were brilliant. They were funny. This was the perfect lineup of actors I have seen in a very long time. The plot was genius the story was crazy, but it really worked.

This was a movie that I really didn't know much about except that it had a great cast, so I went in and was really surprised. Like I said the ending felt like it took its time and it felt like it was trying to make a point that really it never got to so I left confused. Other then that it was really enjoyable.

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022)

A24 never disappoints

A24 Never disappoints when it comes to the surprising but fantastic films, and this movie was just like the rest of A24 phenomenal. Pete Davidson was phenomenal as always. If you are wanting a movie that will keep you on your toes the whole time, then this is the movie for you. It is not stop laughs.

Parents this movie is definitely not for kids it has a total of 280 F bombs. It is Vulgar, sexy, it's just a damn good movie that is not for the little ones at all. If you want to take your kids to a movie take them to super pets which I didn't like or take them to minions which was great.

The casting in this movie was genius by getting a big A list actor being Pete and then getting Charlie XCX for the end credit song was just perfection. This was one of the most fun experiences I have had while watching a movie and I work at the movie theater. Bodies, Bodies, Bodies is a must see movie.

DC League of Super-Pets (2022)

Had its moments but not many

I first want to say that Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Kevin Hart are always great together, but they could not even save this film. The movie had some laughs and some really fun moments, but it felt more like an action film then a family movie.

Parents two words Curse Words. I know this was for play, but they bleeped out curse words. It's a family movie why even have those words in there to begin with.

Bullet Train (2022)

Bullet Train is a fast pace thrill ride

Bullet Train is definitely one of the most thrilling movies that I have seen this year so far. Brad Pitt, Joey King, Bad Bunny and Aaron Taylor-Johnson absolutely kill it in this movie. From start to end you will be on the edge of your seat. It's also very funny

If I had any negatives with the film it would be the language just way too much. Other then that fantastic flawless movie.

Nope (2022)

Absolutely spectacular

Mr Jordan Peele does it once again with another spectacular piece of art. Nope is a spectacle. The cast was phenomenal. The sound was unbelievable and the story oh it was great. Peele is now 3 for 3.

I highly recommend watching this on an IMAX screen or Dolby where you can get the full experience.

Where the Crawdads Sing (2022)

Fantastic movie

Where the Crawdads Sing is a wonderful movie based off the best selling book. I have not read the book so I was very confused at first, but once I figured out what was happening I enjoyed the movie. It's one of the better book adaptations I have watched in a very long time.

This is a true review this movie sucked. There were seven people including myself and the kids in the theater fell asleep and I fell asleep. You know the movie is bad when it mentions it's actually run time in the movie itself. It's definitely the worst movie of the year.

Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022)

Minions the rise of Gru was surprising really good. The minions are so funny I'm so glad that they are the greatest. Best film since godfather. The film was to short to be honest.

The Black Phone (2021)

Ethan Hawke is back baby

Ethan Hawke is back with one of his best performances ever and one of the best horror films of the year so far. I work at a movie theater so when I walked out I was going to the employee break room to grab my phone I was shaking from the movie so much I had to sit down and get a manager to grab my phone for me. This movie was so scary that I'm serious I was shaking the whole movie and so were the people next to me. This movie should come with a CPR warning or a shaking warning.

I have been waiting for a killer horror movie for a very long time and this was that movie. This is going to be ranked up there with some of the most iconic horror films ever someday. Ethan Hawke character The Grabber was freaking scary as Hell. I might have nightmares about him. All fun aside this is a killer movie with a great story, and a killer cast. Great job

Elvis (2022)

And the Academy Award goes to Austin Butler

Elvis is a must see Biography about the King himself Elvis Presley. Austin Butler stole the movie with his fantastic adaptation to Elvis he definitely deserves an Oscar. Tom Hanks also did a wonderful job. I highly recommend seeing Elvis on the biggest screen possible.
