Our Man Flint (1966)
Possibly the greatest movie of all time
What can I say, every bloke wants to be Derek Flint! The woke credentials are outstanding and his equal opportunities views hold up today just as well as they did in the 1960's. He covers all the proper food groups for his personal assistants, what isn't to love. He does karate with some randoms for kicks and giggles to keep his hand in. He initially sacks his governments overtures off before coming over all awesome and baddy organisation stopping. He dances well, he has had a Jackson Pollock carved into 4 pieces incase a visitor comes over all unfortunate. Derek Flint, I doff my cap to you!!!
Sons of Anarchy: Lochan Mor (2010)
I love this series, this episode was terrible
This was how American's perceive the rest of the world, utterly cringeworthy. It's a shame because I love this series.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
I enjoyed it!
Yup, swimming against the tide here. Upon first viewing i hated episode 5 having felt the series was going steadily downhill, but I found the last episode more enjoyable than i hoped.
Cersei was finally exposed as an empty thug, dying in ignimony after all her bluster with Jamie who ended up sacrificing all for the ultimate doomed love. Jon and Tyrion finally saw Daenerys for what she had become. Not mad, but completely delusional.
As much as I disliked it I now feel Episode 5 had to happen the way it did to not only provide true meaningless horror but also the ultimate reason for Jon to kill his love. There was no other way.
Jon ending up at the Wall had a certain karma to it, Sansa ruling the north had a feeling of Elizabeth I about it. I loved the way Tyrion's meeting of the small council descended into pointless bickering, as life must truly return to normality.
I wasn't so keen on Greyworm's ending, nor Arya's. Arya in particular felt like a spin-off waiting to happen.
But no, on the whole i enjoyed it.
