Cloverfield (2008)
This Is Not a Movie, It's an Experience
The way the movie was filmed really is what makes this so well done, you get the feeling that this actually happened, if you let yourself. The scenes of NYC being attacked were very well done, it looks very realistic especially when it is being shown to you through the hand-held camera. The sounds are all amazing, from the explosions to the sounds that you have no idea what they are they all add to the experience. This film really makes you figure stuff out for yourself, it doesn't really give you a direct, concrete answer but, leaves things up to you to decide. This movie is unlike anything I've ever seen and probably will ever see for a while. This movie seems to be one you either love or hate, personally I loved every single minute and will see it again at least 3 or 4 more times in theater and be sure to get it the day it is released. See this movie, if you love it or hate it, this is one movie you will not soon forget.
Coheed and Cambria Live at the Starland Ballroom (2005)
Speechless
This concert DVD was made with the home theater experience in mind. It has 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound. Picture this(if you have surround sound): You hear Coheeds Guitars from the FL and FR speakers, Claudios voice from the FM speaker and the crowd from the RR AND RL speakers. Its like you are really there. The guitars sound so good. The camera works is superb, it focus on their guitar playing and them not the crowd like other concert dvds. This is one concert DVD that is a must have. IT also contains three music videos and four live performances from the 2004 Skate and Surf Festival. It has all their best songs IKSOSE:3, Favor House Atlantic, Devil in Jersy City, Crowing, Three Evils, Everything Evil, Delirium Trigger.
