Halo (2022)
Not the worst but close
Unfortunately something that could be so good, ultimately ends up in a very large pile of crap movies derived from good games.
Everything about this show so far is plagued with fan boy nonsense all the way down to first person view through chief's helmet. To top it off the producers felt the need to include signature armor depletion sounds and recharges while the chief nonchalantly sits behind a rock while the world is on fire around him. I am truly surprised the producers didn't have chief teabag an elite after he jumped 100 feet and shot him the head before he landed.
The actors are horrible choices for the given parts, especially for Dr. Halsey. I haven't seen episode 3 yet but if it's going where I think it is, then Jen Taylor just destroyed her future career as Cortana since the producers butchered her as well.
343 should be ashamed of this and if I was I charge I would yank the license in a rapid like motion.
2067 (2020)
This movie is 1 star on merit alone.
Originality is dead. If this crap were to actually happen I would want the human race to go extinct just to end the stupidity of bad movies. The universe would thank us since other life forms wouldn't feel like laying down in front of cosmic steamroller after watching this.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
The past if officially dead....Disney killed it.
There movie was mediocre at best. Another example of how George Lucas just got lucky with the original and how Disney does what Disney does. Takes a classic, tries to fix what was broken, and ends up breaking it more. There is nothing about this movie that makes sense. The timelines are all screwed up, and characters made famous in the originals are completely negated with one character reveal today. WTF Disney. We understand you are trying to fix the atrocities the are the prequel movies, but this is your solution? At least make your story make sense. Better yet, you should have left well enough alone. If you want to make more Star Wars movies then do it like Rogue one. That was incredibly well done in my opinion and actually made you hate the empire and brought a true understanding of why Darth Vader was feared. Rogue one proved you don't need Luke Skywalker to make a good Star Wars movie.
Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell (2018)
Why???
How did this movie make it to a 5th sequel? I remember watching the original movie with Kevin Bacon and that movie wasn't that good.
If you want to wonder how the sci-fy channel can keep making such bad movies or just have a good chuckle then watch this. If not and if you have seen any other tremors movie pass this one up.
99 percent of the story was clearly written by an amateur high school drama student, the acting was directed by a college student, and the actors go home at the end of the day wishing they would have listened to their father about how acting was a stupid choice.
The movie takes place on the 68th parallel (which is in northern Canada) but all the actors are walking around with no coats, no winter gear of any kind, one actor even admits she goes commando (cause girls admit that openly), at one point in the movie a "scientist" is checking water ph levels while she stands in the water that looks more like a hot spring then a location in the Arctic, wearing nothing but a sports bra and waiters. She meets her untimely yet predictable death after stepping on some eggs that apparently were laid by a graboid in the water. Which is no doubt setting up for Tremors 7: Open Waters. In this sequel the polar ice caps meted and the entire world is flooded. Everybody lives on boats and the graboids are hungry. Coming directly to Netflix soon.
Dragonheart: Battle for the Heartfire (2017)
Not good but not horrible
Ok so I went into this movie expecting it to be bad....really bad. The acting sucks and the dragon looks horrible. This is just another example of Hollywood trying to capitalize on something that was good. Based on the original movie can there even be a sequel? There is something about captain Picard voicing a dragon that I don't know.....DOESN'T WORK. Maybe I'm biased but I remember the original dragon was Sean Connery. That was a good voice. A dragon is old and should be wise so naturally the voice should be old as well. Seriously having Patrick Stewart voice a dragon is like Justin Bieber be the voice of Yoda. There really wasn't a hidden message, the feminist movement would be insulted by the weak story of the female lead the sibling rivalry story was pointless and unconvincing. Outside of that the movie is more of a boredom flick then anything else. Maybe someone should do a prequel sequel to justify this movie. Just kidding. Prequels suck.
