Descent Prequel
31 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I love to see Julia Stiles back in the film industry. She is a great actress and she didn't disappointed here.

Spoilers ahead.

. .

. I like the twist on this one, i generally live when the viewer is asked to take sides, and in this one, Esther landed a family that deserveiwhat it was coming. There werr many plot inconsistencies that bothered a viewer like me, but the film was entertaining.

I wanted to see more at the end about the real death of Esther and the disclosure of this corrupted family but maybe i just like crime documentaries too much! This film is a good prequel, entertaind the viewer but it's predictable and kind of inconsistent by the end. 6/10.

Watch Alone, its a spiritual retreat.
28 January 2022
So, this film is artistic AF. It has all of what most people who enjoy film dont like ( including myself) but it is an spiritual retreat. So i would suggest that you get a nice wine, sit comfortable in front of a big screen with good sound and enjoy a very slow visual artistic film. That in general. I also recommend to watch it alone, i think it is a very private film, and you will enjoy better when you can fully inmerse.

The director challenges the viewer the whole first part of the film, but preparing you for the next. Needs to bring you heart rate very low, and you will feel how time stops at some point. You will forget about outside world in the second part. Its not a film to entertaind, its more like a trip to the jungle , find a shaman, try ayahuasca and come back to normal life. Seems surreal, makes you wonder... Personally i was not prepared properly to watch this film, but i enjoyed it because i am also a photographer so i was enjoying every static frame. There is craft on this film, technically stunning.

Storyline issues
23 August 2021
I love independant horror films, but or thez have great cinematography or they have amazing script/storyline. Sadly this film doesnt have neither.

It felt like a horror film made by students with very little cash. It was slow and the characters are not well developed. I liked the fact they used real scenarios but not related to the plot at all.

Remoded me of the surreal 70s experimental flicks, and i think they were going for that.

But it was too slow and no point at the end.

Best of the Best
1 October 2017
I can not recommend enough this show. Its just amazing writing, acting, a roller coaster that never stops. Its so well knitted that you get a rush of adrenaline after every episode. A real look to a dark side of business. Bateman just blew my mind in this one. i gave it 10/10 because definitely is one of the best shows i have seen next to Six Feet Under and Hannibal. And for some reason it feels like the perfect mix of these two. I cant wait for next season.

More juice plz
29 September 2017
This is a brilliant story/context , that it can be use better for a TV show than a movie. You can take out more good sweet juice from it if you stop at every detail. Movie moves too fast, but is very well done. A Black mirror for our actual reality, that should have been a series. Remember the movie The Island with Di Caprio? This is the same but with social media.

A Magickal Trip
29 September 2017
Amazing Magick trip to a personal human tragedy. If you know a bit about magick , A.Crowley and his job, this is a movie for you. If you don't know, you need to like black magic histories. The main interested thing in this movie, is that YOU create the monsters. Imagine yourself being at the edge of modern human comfort zone, go beyond and see what can you find. Immersive physiological thriller.

Post apocalyptic Nightmare
29 September 2017
This is a real as it gets , a post apocalyptic movie that takes you a a very simple context. Your own. No heroes, no surviving masters, just you and your family trying to survive. I read people hated it because it doesn't offer nothing FOR FREE. Leave you ego and all the hours of TWD you have seen aside, and put yourself in the actor shoes. Plays with your mind, psiquis and makes you paranoid. Good for me.

Huge Potential Un-used
29 September 2017
Huge potential in a scifi story that didn't explain it self very well. To many lose ends, very small development of the history and a quick end that leads to a lot of unanswered questions. Personally i think the movie didn't evolve as it suppose to. I like to give a short review and not a huge lecture about my point of view. if you agree with me after watching this movie hit like and follow my short reviews :). (in fact i am writing this because i need a minimum of lines to post.)

A Great Remake
29 September 2017
A Fantastic remake of a 80-s classic, the best? they didn't try to make it more gore/fantastic/pretentious etc. It stays in the same genre of a lovely drama, suspense, horror and comedy. In this times usually you know that remakes are full of invented things to make it "better" or for a bigger audience, this one stays in the same context which i loved and respected. This is a movie for fans on this genre and writer kING. Don't go to see it if you never has seen IT and want to get scared. This is not a scary movie, its a nostalgic master piece. :)

80 are back
29 September 2017
Definitely a good movie with a 80s/comic feeling. Dark corners, smokey ambient and big empty spaces gives this movie the right ecosystem for a sci fi based on 80-s thesis of future, all held together by a passion story. It doesn't fail at the end. Your need to like sci fi thematic before liking this movie.
