Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
Garbage. Not worthy of the Indiana Jones name
Utter rubbish from beginning to end. No coherent story, no plot line to follow, no suspense. A clear example of trying to milk a franchise one time too many. Harrison Ford must have been running short of cash as that's the only possible reason he would have put his name to this piece of celluloid crap. The other films in this series have been text book swashbuckling anti-hero stories that were engaging and harked back to better times when goodies were good and baddies were bad. This film unfortunately left all that behind and instead became a blur of a B grade offering that relies on fast paced action instead of a decent and well delivered story. I seriously could not recommend this film to anyone.
A Bridge Too Far (1977)
Poor
I've seen the film twice and tbh the actors do their best. What let's the film down, dreadfully in my view, is that it was made far too late. In a couple of scenes we can see a bit of a modern flyover and at another point the troops are running from house to house in what looks like a 1970's housing estate. It's all too clean and neat, not like it was back in 1940's wartime.

Watchable and different
Dystopian Brazilian sci-fi. Started watching this out of curiosity and saw it through right to the end. It was obviously a low budget production with little techno trickery and some dodgy sets but it all worked nonetheless and over the four seasons the plot had enough to entertain the viewer and the characters were engaging.

Enjoyable film
Many war films have been made featuring utterly impossible storylines and this is another to add to the list. That said it was a good watch that kept my interest from start to finish.
Suburra (2015)
A storyline you can follow
This is an Italian film featuring corrupt politicians and the Mafia. Unlike some the storyline is easy to follow and it all comes together quite nicely. Well worth a watch.
