Randall's mother's story
28 October 2021
A heartbreaking episode from start to finish! Maybe the story of Randall's mother wasn't necessary to the show but hey, the writers decided it was and it turned out to be a great episode! We never know how much history there is behind a person, sometimes even oneself don't know how much history there is in our lives and in this episode that feeling is reflected very well. Good job This Is Us!

This Is Us: A Long Road Home (2021)
Season 5, Episode 5

Finally, This Is Us!
28 October 2021
I have read some comments repeating that it's exhausting to see that Kate hasn't been able to overcome any of her traumas, well, welcome to real life! Not everyone manages to overcome their traumas, no matter how old you are or how many sessions with your therapist you have under your arm, sometimes the traumas just remain there. That's what I like about this show, that they don't try to sell the stories as something dramatic that always ends with a beautiful and pleasant solution. This episode was emotional, real, human in every way, with all its characters addressing their different problems with life! The call between Randall and Kevin was hard but emotional too, although much more was seeing Randall wanting to know about his mother.

So far it has been the episode that I have most enjoyed (and cried as well) this season.

The Stand In (2020)

Not a comedy but it's a good movie!
20 December 2020
Ok, I understand the bad reviews because the movie was presented as a comedy, but it's not a comedy at all. It's more of a drama / thriller movie and within those genres it works very well. Drew Barrymore did an excellent job, she played two roles, this depressed, overwhelmed woman with severe problems and on the other hand there is this other character, who at first seems to be a happy girl with problems but innocent, although little by little she is showing her true essence. So if you are going to see this movie, I recommend you not to see it as a comedy, because you will not find jokes, funny scenes, etc. See this movie for what it is, a drama with touches of thriller. And I repeat, Drew Barrymore really did an excellent job here!
