This movie was aces imo. Great acting, kept you wondering. Had unexpected twists and if you realized the subplot, your brain got excited af. Period. Great work, super happy and really enjoyed it. Thanks.
Barry: ronny/lily (2019)
Action-Packed and Absolutely Hilarious
What an epic triumph for Bill Hader, I'm so proud of him. Jam-packed with nonstop action and truly funny from start to finish.
This episode was laugh-out-loud hilarity and I selected that this review contains spoilers to express the following opinion about what the closing scene (where Fuchs' expression turns out to not be what Barry originally saw it as), means: I think this is meant to show us that what we just watched was Barry's concussed/hallucinatory and/or exaggerated perception of the rest of the day/night after fighting Ronny.
The Bye Bye Man (2017)
What Do You Want From A Horror??
I can't comprehend the low rating. Is everyone trying to compare it to "The Exorcist" or "Poltergeist?"
That being said, this movie kept you interested. It didn't utilize cheap jump-scares and didn't go off on unnecessary tangents. I approve. Ignore the low rating and give it a try.
Rock of Ages (2012)
Freaking FANTASTIC!
When this movie came out, it pained me how badly I wanted to see it. After SEVEN YEARS I was FINALLY able to see it and O M G !!!
This movie was JAM-PACKED with many of the tippy-top of the charts 80s songs - recognizable to avid fans of the era and current radio listeners alike. The performances were near-perfection and overall, this movie was INCREDIBLY entertaining! I am so completely satisfied after watching this. Absolutely fantastic.
Also, if you're purchasing this movie to own, do yourself the flavor and buy the Blu-ray as it contains not only the Extended Cut but also a wealth of Special Features.
The Trust (2016)
Good Acting & Perfect At-Home Movie
To put it simply, this was a perfectly satisfying at-home movie. My mom and I watched this at home on Netflix and we were amused, kept interested/intrigued, and by the end, satisfied. Elijah Wood was GREAT and Nicolas Cage made us both laugh a handful of times. Nothing wrong with this movie, give it a try.
The Fix (2018)
Perfect
Make sure you give this a try - Great comedy, great selection of comedians for the panel - both for their wit and their humor, great topics. Just great. Really hope it gets more and more seasons!
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
Awesome, Exciting, Fun - LOVED IT! =D
If you liked the "Choose Yoir Own Adventure" books and/or the game "Heavy Rain," you are going to LOVE this.
Great acting by Fionn Whitehead (MC), and I ESPECIALLY loved Will Poulter in this.
I was so excited when I learned what this was and had a lot of fun with it throughout - I couldn't wait for a new choice to appear. I even appreciated the reality of regretting a decision as it doesn't allow you to rewind and change your choice. Very well done, truly canNOT wait for more. Awesome.
Also think this will be great to implement for kid's shows (but maybe with their own simplified remotes).
Dumplin' (2018)
Touching, Sweet, Heartwarming - I just feel good.
What a beautiful movie. In a nutshell - I laughed, I cried, I aww'd (a lot lol), and this was exactly what the doctor ordered. I really, thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I think anyone who appreciates a well-rounded, well-acted, heartwarming and bottomline human story, will enjoy this.
Furthermore, Danielle Macdonald (the actress who plays "Dumplin'), was absolutely fantastic in this, as well as Jennifer Aniston who I think has really come into her own and found her comfort zone when it comes to acting - she seems to just easily play "right," if that makes sense. And lastly, the music throughout was such a delight - Dolly Parton is an amazing talent and this movie makes you appreciate that and her, so much more. Just wonderful.
Father of the Year (2018)
This has some damn good laughs
One of the few movies nowadays which can genuinely call itself a comedy. I thought nothing was overdone and there's a scene near the beginning that had me laughing for a good five minutes, I had to pause the movie. Good pacing throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
