Obit. (2016)
I perceive weird stuff in the little art film theater
Well, I thought the movie had a sense of black humor and an upbeat tempo of positivity. If you don't know, it's about Obituaries in the office of the greatest periodical in the world.
I kind of loved Obit. It's a fine and visually stunning movie. Especially, I loved the Adobe Photoshop editing of Newspaper Clippings and Newspaper Photographs projected to the sounds of wise words from journalists.
Spoiler Alert. The movie showed a place in the New York Times Office, where journalists store pre-written obituaries. Ronald Reagan had a lot more death stories written about his racist person than the other people famous people did. Because of Fascists unpopularity, journalists wrote a lot of obituaries about him before his death actually occurred.
Obit was actually not about a journalist who passed away, though going into the theater I thought it was. I got there 5 minutes late. The screen showed a black and white photograph of a man attempting suicide by sailing his 20 foot schooner across the ocean.
I liked getting educated about what Great Journalists think and do. I learned very little about what I need to do to reach my goal of becoming a journalist, but it was still good to see the interviews Of NY Times employees. I was the historical references. The oldest Newspaper of the United States certainly has a lot of information in its archives. Some interesting people I was unfamiliar with were mentioned among the famous deceased. I wanted to give these forgotten stars of history a second breath air, freeing them from lost memory, carrying them across time to the here and now, researching them on Google.
The Short Films of David Lynch (2002)
It had its moments
The movie is a collection of short movies, cut with nice black and white slides that say the name of the short film, David Lynch, and the name of the actors.
Six Men Getting Sick I can't talk about this one, because when I walked in the theater late
The Alphabet Very cute and charming stop motion animation film. Felt cut outs on a black screen..
The Grandmother There is too much stress in this silent film. The actors wear white makeup, and the father acts like a Nazi, abusing his son. In fear, the son lays on his bed, and he plants a bed tree that amazes viewers. Only grandmother shows love to the boy, when she is only shown smiling and giving the boy kisses. The stop motion felt illustrations of the boy screaming blood were good. The movie was inspiring.
The Amputee, Version 1 and Version 2 This Tape of a woman griping who doesn't have a leg to stand on p, after saying all the negative things she has on her mind, is really a great work of art. However, it is bad that Version one and Version two are both included, because it makes the movie seem redundant. Lots of people walked out after that, and I was among them.

The Man Who Knew Infinity (2015)
Have seen this
Great actors. Great message, true to this day. The war against ISIS or ISIL has some of the same themes brought up in this WWI era movie. Dev Patel is one of my favorites. He is great in this. I didn't know him until I saw this, but now I know I love Jeremy Irons. He acts well. His character has a nice sensitivity. I enjoyed thinking about his informal costume, socks hat and pipe, and the helpful work that he did assisting Dev Patels character. Patel has a face that expresses his feelings. He does a great job showing how stressful his career at Trinity is.. Should see it. It's really good. I love Trinity College, have only seen the campus in the pictures.. Dev Patel got a bad deal, he acted that situation well.
