AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)
Predator unleashed!
Well, I gotta admit, this movie was hardcore. It took some of the intensity of the Alien series, and added the aggression of the Predator series. I also admit I was glad that Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) isn't in this film. Giving the Predator a personality was pretty good idea as well. Sanaa Lathan was perfect for the new leading woman in this. Sigourney needs to watch out! As the other Alien movies left me wanting more and the Predator films had me wanting the end, I was more than hoping for a sequel to this Blockbuster! The only bad part about is that there isn't enough human interaction between the HUmans & The predators. You would expect more than just one Predator & HUman against the world, but that should come out if they ever do a part 2!
Alice of Wonderland in Paris (1966)
Legendary status?
Well, not legendary, however, timeless, maybe. My 3 year old and I just watched this film again, not that Digiview put it out on DVD, and she remained focused on the film from beginning to end. So, that says a lot! The story wasn't wonderful, but the way it grabbed my daughter's attention, was unique! I was also a bit amused as I watched this film. Realizing that I was watching this classic (meaning "old") of a film, and hearing Rob Reiner's voice was quite cool! Another rather cool thing is knowing that I can find films like this thru grocery stores like Walgreens & CVS. Although, one thing was...it was called something else. When I bought the film, it was called "Alice in Paris" but it was actually the very same film!
