A League of Their Own (2022)
For all those "historians" raging about historical accuracy
I've just watched the entire season.
There is no black player in the league. Her story, just like real life in the 40's is completely segregated from her white counterparts and not a single person is out and proud gay or lesbian, the show does not make it look like being gay was normal and accepted back then. So you can all get off your high horse and just enjoy the show (although let's be honest, you probably were never going to watch it.)
As for everyone else, the show manages to capture the same lighthearted fun as the original movie, while also expanding on some of the realities of what life was really like for people of color, members of the LGBTQ community and women in general, living in the US in the 40's.
It's a great tribute to the original movie and to the real life players, a lot of them had to live in the closet for decades and are only now finally included in the story based on their lives.
