i liked this movie a lot. Going into the theater i did not think i was going to like it with as much as i did. The opening was well done and pretty spooky. I play video games quite a bit so i could relate to it a little. I will say that the special effects were really good. In amovie like this it can be made or broken depending on how good the effects were. the video game effects were spot on and it felt like i was really in the game they were playing. the acting for the most part was good. Jimmi simpsons character was too one dimensional for my tastes. usually a Pg-13 rating is a death blow to ahorror movie. not in this case. while not overly bloody the deaths were still brutal. especially when jimmi simpson's character's got ran over talk about Ouch. There was a couple things in the movie that kept me on my toes. you think that one character is dead but he comes back and it actually makes sense. all in all if you don't think too much about it you should enjoy it.

wow that was pretty good for a movie i just picked up today because i saw Devon Sawa's name on the back

I just rented this today. it's funny because i was just wondering what happened to Devon Sawa's career. i was a big fan of his back in the day. After watching this i can say that he still has got it. truthfully everyone in the movie did a good job heck even Meat loaf was pretty funny. it had a somewhat original plot. That's unusual in Hollywood these days. i think everyone should check this out.All of the principle actors were excellent. Devon Sawa and Amanda Demter had great chemistry together.some of the extreme dating situations were somewhat creative and pretty funny So in closing this was pretty good movie. i think i'll watch it again before i take it back

i enjoyed this movie a lot. i thought all the principle actors did a great job. Kurt Russel was of course great as always. he came off as a great super hero and a good dad as well. Bruce Campbell was pretty funny as coach boomer. the thing that really impressed me was the character arc of warren peace. in the beginning you think that he night be a villain but he turns out to be a good guy. more of a anti hero type. the "save the citizen scene was also quite good. the audience i saw it with applauded. i love super hero movies so to me it was refreshing putting an adolescent spin on this genre. i also was amazed at how many different powers they came up with. so over all this was a really cool movie.
