Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023)
Monarch: Where are the Monsters?
Boring series.
Just watch the movies instead. Complete waste of time.
This could have been so good and a great new entry into the monsterverse but wow, it sucks.
Just a human drama with subtle hints about godzilla. Don't go into this expecting to see anything about monsters, or godzilla. He barely shows up at all after the first couple of episodes. So boring.
I don't care about any of these 'main characters', I just want to see monsters. And that doesn't happen.
Complete waste of time, go and watch the original godzilla movie again, or for the first time, and then look up the numerous different films that sound good to you. There are so many better films you can watch in 2 hours instead of this waste of time.
Tickled (2016)
meh tries to make it out like they're important or cool. but no. you arent
Waste of time. Tries to be way cooler and important than it actually is.
US > NZ.
It's also legal to record video in public in the US you morons.
Review is too short so here's more. This doc insists upon itself, it's annoying, the creators think they're somehow like so important than
I watched an hour and still feel like i wasted 3 hours of my life. Garbage, trash, dont waste your time
still needs more so no im gonna go watch something else right now.
They selectively edit what to show and what not to show when it comes to emails they receive from debra or whatever her name is, trying to sound shocking or whatever but its not. Waste of time.
Easy pass.
I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter (2019)
She's immoral and a terrible person, but she's not guilty
Can't believe she was found guilty. He wanted to do it, he had attempted suicide before even meeting her. He never called 911 to report harassment and never made an attempt to stop her from talking to him about doing it.
He had it planned out, he set it up, he started it, he went along with it, and then, after he got into his truck willingly by HIMSELF, decided to get out. He knows he's not in fear of his life because he doesnt call for help, he doesnt call police or call for an ambulance or anything, he calls Michelle because thats what HE WANTED to do. She just went along with it like all the other times he talked about suicide.
Decent documentary, the defense was pretty terrible and it cost them the case.
No way should texts agreeing with someone wanting to do something be allowed to be turned around and say the text recipient is responsible for the actions of the text sender.
She was never physically there, never physically aided in anything he did, never forced him to do anything he didnt want to do, and never assisted him in anyway.
No way she shouldve been found guilty. Funny how HIS decision to get out of the car and call Michelle.
Still, there is no evidence she ever told him to get back into the truck. None whatsoever.
So be careful next time you joke about suicide, it might come back and cause you to get in trouble for it, even if you never physically did anything and never assisted in the action itself.
The Black Phone (2021)
Ya, we get it. The King's dont believe in Jesus
We got it. Move along.
Also, tough little kid swearing, so edgy.
Funny how they they dont believe in god yet constantly focus on making sure he's involved in some way in almost every book they right.
The Pharmacist (2020)
Ironic
Funnily enough, all the 10 star reviews who praised their hatred of big pharma when this first came out now suddenly love big pharma because of the covid 'vaccine.'
Ironic, isnt it.
Broadchurch (2013)
Well it was fine until s02e02
No way in hell would a confession, on tape, multiple times on multiple cameras, be thrown out.
Ruined the whole show, not gonna watch the rest.
Now I need to find a new show with actual real life outcomes and the same drama.
First season was good, this one sucks.
Happy Valley (2014)
So far Season 2 is meh
Very, very mild spoilers for the first couple episodes of season 2 but it's worth knowing. Why didn't the cop who was having an affair and then got drugged just hit 'record' on his phone when he goes over to see her afterwards and record the entire conversation about how she drugged him and took lewd pics...
Would've proven that she was crazy and that wouldve solved his problem...
But since this isnt a US show, it's fine for the directors and writers to get away with such a loophole, right?
First season was good, but so far this super special cop guy who's really smart is also really dumb. Hell, he couldve just told someone at the police station and wore a wire into the house while seeing her after being drugged, that wouldve worked as well.
But nope. Anyway, hopefully this storyline isn't too central and we dont see much of it. I'll update the review when i finish s2.
The Night House (2020)
For God's sake, close your mouth!
Seriously no one walks around with their mouth open all the time. It's so annoying once you realize it because you wont be able to not notice it every time after.
The Outsider (2020)
Holly ruins the entire series
So annoying to watch. She was so good in the book but in the show she's unbearable. Thinking she knows more than everyone else without acting like it. Anyone who's read the book will understand.
But hey i guess if you haven't read it already it might be great for you
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)
Awful, hypocritical main character
Another movie that preaches about how terrible Americans are. You get to the point where you root for the main character's suffering, and lose any and all interest in the main plot.
She makes terrible analogies but the movie allows it so whatever. At one point she compares the Bloods and the Crips to the local police, and then goes on to commit a crime on a local dentist and thinks she's in the right.
She also wants mandatory blood testing for every male baby born to stop future crime right before she herself commits a crime.....
Awful. I'm 45 mins in and hope there's more suffering for her to endure. She blames the cops for not finding her daughter then gets mad when the same cops try to find her daughter....
She's the type of person that bashes police officers but would be the first person to call 911 if someone broke into her house.
Avoid
Pet Sematary (2019)
Sudden loud noise after sudden loud noice after sudden loud noise...
Waaay too many jump scares. Is it a horror movie if you can guess every "scary" moment?
The story was decent enough, but these types of movies need to stop. It's cheap and not horror. If you're walking in a garage and a sudden car alarm goes off, that's what you can expect when watching this movie, except you'll see (and hear) it coming.
Jump scares were the worst thing to happen to horror movies.
