Gotham (2014)
Better without Batman. It works.
This show is a must watch for any D.C. fan, Batman or not it's there forever.
The things that stood out in the series were the smaller moments between the characters In between the madness and chaos of Gotham. The show was at its best when the show took on the focus on the noir and realistic development of the Gotham and the citizens within it were the shows strongest points, the lack of Batman made sense to what the series was about, it wasn't about Batman, it was about Gotham. I do get why they chose to give us a Batman but I would've preferred the small D.C. comic teasers and the growths of the villains, the building blocks of the world the criminals are in.
I watched the show due to its natural tone, the noir feel really sold me as soon as the Pilot aired including the storylines. The failure was Season 5 it needed more episodes but don't let
Gavin & Stacey: A Special Christmas (2019)
Only watched bits
Saw it last night on Xmas day and because I was with family I only was bits of it but the bits I saw were delightful, I know how it ends and Season 4 is there and waiting for us.
Gavin & Stacey (2007)
Every episode is the best.
There's no bad episode In this comedy. It makes me think is this even scripted? I enjoy it so much.
The Purge: 7:01am (2019)
Worthy beginning.
Okay, I'll say this-Esme's story ended great, she died for a purpose and she did her job. Ryan died by her side good too. America or New Orleans now knows the full extent of the NFFA's bull crap, a rebellion is being formed by the Purge survivors.
We are sure gonna get a third season, but are we gonna get the same characters or even story out of the 3rd season? We have no idea what's gonna happen, The Purge 5 gonna lead the same story but without those characters? No idea.
Until I hear "renewal! Same character rumoured to cameo or show up with Rebellion storyline." I just can't get my head around all of them surviving with two characters dying, Ben "GOD" should've died although I'm glad he didn't somehow, Marcus should've killed him but he didn't. Tommy should've died, Sara should've died. There must be a reason why they kept some of these people alive-if not for a new season then A movie.
Renew us!
The Purge (2018)
Season 2 should've been Season One.
There has never been a better improvement to a tv series than The Purge. It has a lot of glaring high points in its first 7 episodes that I really appreciate as a fan myself.
The stories told have a place within the universe of the Purge and aren't just considered fillers, every episode delivers a proper extension on the characters and their development. The cinematography and scale has also been upgraded with a darker less dry feel than its predecessor, the season feels like a dark horror season that has a place in the Purge universe and not just a gimmick like it's first season.
Each opening scene tells a story even for a few minutes they play out, they add essence to what the Purge has done to that dystopian world. None of the movies have done this. The show deserves to recognised for what's finally became. Definitely would be a bingeworthy series.
