A famous conductor is forced to leave his job. He returns to his childhood's hometown and a beautiful story begins!

This is absolutely one of the best movies I've ever seen. It takes me on a a roller-coaster of emotions. I laugh and cry and get disgusted and happy and in love! All this in a little over two hours of time!

The actors are all brilliant! I have to mention the leading actor of course, Michael Nyquist. He does a remarkable job!! I also admire the actor who plays Tore, who plays this mentally-challenged young man in such a convincing way! He sort of reminded me of Leonardo di Caprios roll in Gilbert Grape! And then there is the most beautiful song in the world: Gabriella's sång.

I recommend this for everyone to see and enjoy!

An extreme and wonderful movie
14 August 2005
I went to see this film last night. I had no expectations going in to it, other than the fact that I really love Danish films and the actor Mads Mikkelsen. The movie really blew me away. The story is told in such a way that you find yourself laughing in the strangest places, you get really shocked in other places and the communication between the persons is extreme and wild! The acting from all of the actor's is superb! You go out of the movie theater with a smile on you face at the same time you find yourself reflecting on some of the key questions on life itself..

Go out and watch it as soon as possible!
