Secrets in the Snow (2020)
Not very good
Just watched last 30mins of this (channel 5 in UK) whilst pottering around, and although i only saw the last 30 mins, it was so bad that i easily guessed what was what and what had happened. The main thing for me though was the make-up. 2 characters had exactly the same make-up and it suited neither, dark brown matt lipstick way too heavy, and the mother was the same, very heavy matt red lipstick that made her look like a clown. All i could see was the bad lipstick ha ha.
The Larkins: In Which We Meet the Larkin Family (2021)
Not good
I watched the Darling Buds of May when it was first aired and also read the books. This adaption is awful, there is no chemistry between the main characters and other characters are all wrong. Are they doing it PC?? Cause thats not how the books are.
Corner Gas (2004)
Love it!!!
I have only just discovered this brilliant programme on amazon prime (i am english and only just seen it on prime). Watched the whole series in a few days as when i started watching i couldn't stop. I loved every episode, funny, witty and down to earth, it cheered me up no end. Just wish i had known about it years ago as when i started watching it i didn't realise it was nearly 17yrs old!! Love all the actors and the characters and Canada and love the Programme!!
Corner Gas: The Movie (2014)
I loved this!!!
I can't understand why this has got an average review of 6.8. I really liked it. I have only just found this gem of a program on amazon prime (i'm english, never heard of it until i got prime), and i watched all the series and i thought it was great and then i saw that they had done a movie too and i have just watched it and thought it great. Just witty and nice and no violence or sex (which we don't always want in a movie). It was nice and fun, a great movie which i could easily watch again.
Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)
Crap
Good grief, what a load of rubbish, embarrassing drivel
The Trouble with Maggie Cole (2020)
I liked this
I prefer this to Delicious, it's only been on 2 episodes but i enjoyed them both, i like all the characters and Dawn French and Mark Heap are brill. Good story and good acting
The Small Hand (2019)
Boring and not scary at all
I loved the Woman in Black also by Susan Hill so i was looking forward to this, how disappointed i was. Very dull, no suspense and not scary at all. Terrible
Frasier: The Two Mrs. Cranes (1996)
Awful accent
I HATE this episode due to the awful accent by the actor playing Clive. I am british and i have never heard anything like it, it grates on me! What on earth were they thinking! It's a shame because it was a good story otherwise
Sanditon (2019)
Bit boring
Not sure what Jane Austen would have thought of this, the continuation of her unfinished novel. I hope she wouldn't have found it as boring as i do, it is so very boring
Agatha Raisin: The Wizard of Evesham (2018)
Shown in the wrong order
I have read all these books and i gave the tv a try but i knew it wasn't going to be exactly like the books. However, we have just got series 2 in the UK and i am disappointed that the episodes are out of order. In series 1 we had The Witch of Wyckhadden which is where she went after a bad hair cut, then, in series 2 we have The Wizard of Evesham which is where the bad haircut took place. So, she went away due to bad hair before the bad hair even happened. Why do they have to do this?
Endeavour: Degüello (2019)
Wow!
I don't usually post reviews but i felt i had to this time. In my opinion this was the best episode yet. It even had me in tears at one point. All the actors did a brilliant job and it tied up a few loose ends. Brilliant
Everybody Loves Raymond: Not So Fast (2004)
Don't get it
It's a good episode if you overlook the fact that Robert owns the house??!!!!. His parents sold it to him when they moved? But when the parents had to move back they expected to live in the house again, and own/control it. Robert owns it!! I would either not let the parents move back in or i would tell them they had to pay rent. Yet at one point Marie says to Robert "You can live here til you find a place". But it's already his place!! He should be saying that to his parents! I find this very annoying as i feel they had to do this for continuation purposes.
Bodyguard (2018)
Boring
This started out promising, half way into the second episode i was bored. Very obvious, nothing special
The Middle: Wheel of Pain (2013)
I don't get it
At the end of the episode Frankie is on her own looking at at a prisoners teeth. In the UK this would never be so. A dental nurse works with the dentist and is not allowed to work in a patients mouth on their own
