Lino: Uma Aventura de Sete Vidas (2017)
What was that
Lino is a terrible movie, most definitely not for children. It's rated PG, I wouldn't let my kid watch it. There is crime and violence, but the stereo type racism and adult "humour" is inappropriate. Nothing funny in it, and nothing appropriate for kids under 12. I can't believe this is marked to children. An absolute waste of time, and I didn't finish it, no way was the story good enough to even find out what happens in the end.
Do yourself a favour and don't bother with lino.
If I had to choose something I liked it would be the kid, the toddler is cute, not cute enough or on screen enough to recommend watching lino.
My Life Is Murder (2019)
Love it
I love how this is a "cop" show, that doesn't take itself too seriously, but most of all I love how unlike every other cop show ever has been filmed. It's so bright and colourful. Everything from the wardrobe to the apartment and the cafes. Even when talking motive with a murder who might try to attack the star, it's bright.
The backgrounds of Australia and new Zealand are amazing, although the new Zealand weather seems too bright.
Sometimes it's feels a little over the top, the hair, the earings, and the sunny weather, but that's also what makes it great.
It's such a refreshing change from the dark shows that hide half of what you're trying to watch.
Offspring: The Uncomfortability (2010)
No way!
You can't sleep train a new born! This child is a few weeks old at most! Sleep training is horrible, teaching a child that they can't count on mum only themselves. Teaching a new born baby that you aren't their for them. I understand some parents need to do this when the child is older but fxxk it's worse than barbaric it's unnatural to ignore a newborn!! A newborn baby cries for a reason. And this mum is supposed to be a nurse.
Years ago everyone was watching this show, and I thought I give it a go. It good to see local Melbourne places, and Australia needs more local TV. Bring back shows like blue heelers and water rats.
Doctor Who: The Timeless Children (2020)
Who paid for that writing?
Many people didn't want a female Dr. This sad attempt of a season has nothing to do with a female Dr, it's simply just really really bad writing. I feel so bad for Jodie to be stuck with being the first female Dr, always paired with being the Dr who ruined Dr who. Again nothing to do with Jodie other than the worst written series. Yas is okay grahyis so boring blah and I never remember the other guys name, as the character is completely forgettable.
I actually watched this twice thinking I must have missed something the first time lol.
As everyone else has mentioned, do yourself a favour and skip the whole season.
Nine Perfect Strangers (2021)
Why?
A half decent Australian book, by a half decent Australian author. Taken on and totally ruined by Americans.
Why do Americans ruin everything.
Nicole kidmans terrible accent aside, she only plays 1 type of character and it's boring, unlike the Masha character from the book who was likeable, and full of life. Melissa McCarthy does well as Frances, the guy from the good place is cute, but using a few aussie actors doesn't fix the terrible attempts at making an Australian story chewed up and regurgitated by Americans even half decent.
After slogging my way through the first 2 episodes, I'll probably watch the rest to see how much they mess up the end.
Supergirl: Welcome to Earth (2016)
Racism in America
How can Americans write this? They live in a world with so much racism, where the cops are corrupt.
This episode about including everyone especially those who are different.
I'm a superman fan, but this episode marks the end of my imagination. The super universe has gone too far, trying to claim America is a good place to live.
CSI: Vegas: Let the Chips Fall (2021)
Acting or reading lines
Loved the original show, but with the combination of the new actors and new writers the stories have holes and gaps and the actors couldn't pull off a perfect script if the were given one.
The Circle (2017)
Shame about the ending
Great movie, until it finished without a proper ending.
