Knack II (2017)
KNACK 2 BAYBEEEEEEE!
Words cannot describe the absolute mastery of this game, obviously it should be 100 on metacritic and a 3billion/10 from everyone because it's knack 2, WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW, go buy it.
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
A smart, and tightly directed psychological thriller
This film is really about alot of things, things that affect people, how past experiences can affect people in the long term, how destructive in nature we become when we are stuck in horrible situations, this film is a lot more than just a psychological thriller/horror film.
on the surface this film is your typical thriller, with a frightening killer on the loose, Clarice (played by Jodie Foster) Is tasked with hunting down this killer. But,
If you look past the surface level there is a lot more hidden underneath the surface, besides the brilliant building of suspense that never allows our main protagonist or the audience a chance to breathe.
The thing that really made this film for me was Hannibal Lector, (Anthony Hopkins), who steals the show as this character, keep in mind that he doesn't get a lot of screen time, but with the screen time he gets, he uses it to explore the human mind and the destructive nature of humans, through talking to Clarice, these are the best scenes in the film for me, these scenes are filled with tension, and create a lot of insight into what makes a human, human.
On the technical side of things, the cinematography adds to the atmosphere and makes the film that much more claustrophobic and disturbing. The soundtrack adds a lot to the film, which again adds more to the incredible atmosphere this film has.
Claire, (Jodie Foster), is our protagonist, she shows her struggle as a human, as she tries to leave her past behind, but realises that its not easy to let go of the past. This is created through the lambs. *Spoiler section now*, here we go.
So during these scenes with Hannibal Lector and Claire, they talk out about the lambs, he says,"Have the Lambs gone silent yet?", symbolising her past, and how it can never go away, no matter how hard she tries. Its symbolised this way because, Claire hears screaming in the middle of the night, she tries to let them out, but they just stood still, therefore, breaking down the title of the film and what it means.
The Silence of the lambs challenges its audience with deep subject matter, while also presenting it in a much more unique way to other thrillers, it gives you hints to look deeper into the film to discover more about this film, with its deft direction, stunning camerawork, brilliant score and absorbing performances, The Silence of the Lambs is a great example of how to make a suspenseful, and creative psychological thriller.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
One of Leonardo DiCaprio's best performances.
The Wolf of wall street is a riveting film. It's funny, dark, and suprisingly fast paced throughout even though it's 3 hrs long. I feel the length is a bit long for the film, I felt that 5-10 mins could have been cut off the film, and it would've been better.
You have great performances from Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort, Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie, along side some fantastic direction from Martin Scorsese.
This film really looks in to what money can do to people, how it effects people, and how greedy we can become when we earn alot of money.
I like how Jordan Belfort has no remorse and doesn't care what happens, but this is also a problem, due to the character having no remorse, his character doesn't really change at all, by the end, he's still pretty much the same person as he was at the beginning, with some slight changes.
It's a great film to watch with a bunch of blokes and I feel it better suits Males than Females. The Cinematography is creative and varied, with some great shots thrown in there.
It's a film where characters don't really change or grow, but it does this to great effect to further show what mass amounts of money can do to people.
I had a great time watching it and I would definitely recommend it if you were looking for a great time.
8.5/10.
Searching (2018)
A thriller that subverts expectations and uses this method of film making to its advantage
Searching is a fantastic thriller, it uses slow, building tension for the 1st 2 acts, and then the last 20 minutes.
The film has an exhilarating last 20 minutes that's keeps you on edge to find out what's gonna happen next.
The most brilliant part of the film making is how this film maker is able to convey so much emotion by only using a computer screen.
They bought lisences to YouTube, Facebook, LiveLeak, Instagram, Tumblr and LiveLeak, to add another sense of realism to the experience.
THIS IS NOT Found Footage. John Cho as the father of Margot Kim is riveting, he brings alot of emotion with his performance and does somethings you won't expect.
It's creative, Subsersive, with fantastic characters keeping you guessing all through the perspective of a laptop.
This film is worth your time which I don't think I'd say.
It was a huge surprise for me and I highly recommend it.
One thing I think is a concern would probably be the rewatch ability of this film, since there's alot of processes the father has to go to through her daughters laptop.
But other than that, would highly recommend it.
9/10
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
Bland and forgettable
And before you say it, no I am not a DC fan, I'm not just giving this film this rating for that reason, I'm not a fan of marvel, I am willing to appreciate the good did of both of these major studios and this is not one of them.
This film is very generic marvel, there is nothing new, inventive or interesting, it's just bland, when I look at it, I really can't remember anything, because it's just extremely average, everything is very average, there is nothing interesting or memorable, it's fun the first time, but there is no point to rewatching because you'll forget it in a second, the characters aren't memorable at all, Paul Rudd's character is no where near on the level as he was on the first film, there was nothing bad, nothing good, nothing interesting, it was just bland and forgettable, I wouldn't recommend it, because of how boring it can be, but it's very average.
I forgot to add the part about the musical score, this is a major problem with all Marvel films because Marvel just overlook it and think, well if there's explosive action, and funny characters, we could get away with it the music is repititive and yet again Marvel struggles with the musical score, just as I expected.
Under the Skin (2013)
An overlooked and disturbing masterpiece, caters to multiple viewing
Everything about this film is meticulously crafted by the brilliant Jonathon Glazer, and a beautifully expressive performance from Scarlett Johansson. The cinematography is beyond exceptional, with hidden cameras to make the interactions between Scarlett Johansson and a random person on the street feel very realistic. It's a film that's even better the less you know about it, so go in as clueless as you can possibly can. It's a film that brilliantly shows the fear of the unknown, it's better after you watch the film, not to know anything, as the film will just keep getting better and better. The premise is executed with such mystery and intrigue, that it really gets under your skin. The soundtrack alone is worth the price of entry, it's unique, clever, and highly disturbing and this film has a lot of subdued themes that I won't get into.
Will definitely watch this film over and over.

It Comes at Night (2017)
This film is an example of marketing that seem like something that this film isn't
This film is a brilliant exercises of slow building tension and the paranoia of being stuck inside somewhere for such a long period of time, along side some brilliant direction and camera work, if you're gonna watch this film, don't watch the trailers, this is the reason why people don't like this film because of the expectations they got from the trailers, which is completely understandable and not their fault,
There are some things I didn't really like about the film making, this can be due to things such as, the film can be quite draining at points and does drag a little at certain points but besides that, this is a brilliant horror film, I would highly recommend it and I can't stress this enough, don't watch the trailers.
Grave (2016)
One of the most disturbing experiences I have ever had the pleasure of watching, go in blind
Raw is a truly disturbing experience, as you watch a vegetarian, convert into a full on cannibal, and by the end, you will be truly disturbed, and I loved every second of it. Go into this film completely blind, and you will be extremely surprised. The gore wasn't too frequent actually, but that's just to further exercise the slow building tension that the film exercises very well, the hazing rituals are unfiltered and truly insane, this leaves all the gore, and sexual themes on screen, and doesn't hold back, be ready for a film that will make you wanna throw up, literally, this film will really be difficult to sit through, so make sure you are in the right mood before you watch it,
I highly recommend this film for anyone who loves horror films, 10/10
The Shining (1980)
One of the most mysterious and haunting experiences I have ever had when watch information a film
Oh boy oh boy where to begin with this one.
There are so many different interpretations of this film, that you just get lost in a maze of mystery and psychological horror, with no way out. Stanley Kubrick masterfully directs this film, everything in this film is perfect, the acting, the cinematography, you name it, it's perfect. Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance is haunting and mysterious, as you watch him change from the man he was, his suprisingly light hearted performance, leaves us in fright from the events on screen.
The photograph at the end of the film, giving us the answer to this riddle, which was hidden in plain sight.
This film will be a different experience each time you watch it,as you discover more and more leading you closer and closer to the exit of this never ending psychological maze.
This is a horror masterpiece, it would be a mistake not to watch it.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
This film is the worst in the franchise, its basically filler
In a more general aspect this film is a lead up to the inevitable Jurrasic World 3, setting up the characters and the story for the sequel. In this film, these big action setpieces are far and few between, and the atrotious marketing from Universal, spoiling of the film. I didn't watch the final trailer, thank god I didn't.
The story is a mess. It first starts off with Claire going to the estate, because she was putting up a petition to save the dinosaurs. Which doesn't make any sense because dinosaurs are very dangerous. Anyway, they end up on an Island, where they capture blue and a bunch of other dinosaurs for money.
The villians are just people who want money, thats it.
The ending was really bad, the girl which we find out is a clone later in the film, releases the dinosaurs, after Claire realised the mistakes of bringing them back. But the clone girl releases them and says this awful line, "they're alive, like me.
There were some average parts I'm not gonna talk about those because I am just getting sick about talking about this film.
I cannot reccomend this film, to anyone, it is a mess on every front, except the CGI, But that doesn't really count.
3.5/10.
Beauty and the Beast (2017)
The worst movie I have seen in the history of anything and I haven't seen the Emoji Movie
This movie is literal copy and paste of the original with a couple new songs added. This movie proves to me that Emma Watson is only good in Harry Potter, her singing in all of the scenes when she sings, make me want to pull my ears out. The beast is a CGI mess, it looks so ugly and unbearable and his actor literally shows no emotion. Most of the scenes in this movie are emotionally contrived.
The plot: The plot in this movie is so predictable that if I fell asleep and woke up at the end I would've gotten the exact same plot i predicted. Mind you I haven't seen the original movie. The beast gets cursed by an enchantress. The curse is broken by true love and then all the antiques and the beast turn back into humans. The end. The worst part in this movie for me is when Belle is introduced in the market place scene, from that moment on, I knew this movie was going to be God awful. Also hardly any of these songs fit any sort of theme with the original.
In conclusion, This movie is a hopeless Hollywood cash grab which is a shameful copy and paste of the original story, save some time and skip this one it isn't worth your time. Go watch the original Beauty and the Beast from what I have heard it is 30 billion times better than this movie.
