Domino (I) (2019)
6/10
It's still better De Palma than Wise Guys (1986)
6 June 2019
I like lots of De Palma's movies for about 21 year. I heard that Domino was longer last summer and now, it's 89 mins in release, it's bad. Also, I heard about huge complications with production, that's awful, when we got times, when Brian De Palma gets such huge disrespect. So, how it could be good!? Before I went to the movie theatre, I already saw that 4.8 rating and was afraid to be dissapointed. I was dissapointed but not as many others. Some characters are acting and was written much lower than in his othew movies. The story (if it wasn't much cuted) is too straight for Brian De Palma. I'm glad at least, that Pino Donaggio was here again. He and De Palma, almost like Lynch and Badalamenti. The score which reminds Bernard Herrmann's scores for Hitchcock is right on it's place. Even, Bill Pankow (the editor) is on his place. But the rest, could be better. The last time, when I had such dissapointment was after watching last Roman Polanski's 2017's movie. I'm not a footbal fan, but I think, that I'm feeling worse now, then when your favorite team lost the big game and lost it big. I wish to Brian the great new work with great producers and crew, who really loves real movies and respects the big directors wishes and ideas!

Twin Peaks: Part 6 (2017)
Season 1, Episode 6
10/10
Rejected for nervous & impatient!!! Or "Thank You, Dougie"!
19 June 2017
Bad ratings depresses me too! Last time when I got such strong emotions from the movie, was 5th episode. Before that, 4th. And so on...

I like Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, Martsin Scorsese, Brian De Palma, Stanley Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, Christopher Nolan (Prestige (2007) is enough to respect him) Luis Bunuel, Sir Alfred Hitchcock, Pedro Almodovar, some Asian, European now/classic and so on. Those of them who is still alive and filming are not the same as before, sadly. David Lynch, is one of the lasts stand here, as far as "Tarantino's ass".

Also, I'm studying movies all my life, I know many great filmmaking people personally. I know what is real respect, art and humanity. And as for me (and this is not only me here where am I) such kind of directing as new TP episodes is really RARE piece of gemstone. Last time when I saw such level before "TP3" was Inland Empire (2006) and before that Mulholland Drive (1999-2001). It's such level of movie revolution as the Rosemary's Baby was in 1968 and Psycho was in 1960. But of course, there are many cool movies by other masters too.

Here is so much haters, who doesn't get the point of what's happening here, who prefers to squeeze inside all they got, instead of to think a little bit different for diversity. Also, I'm studying psychology, life and lie all my life. So, I perfectly understand you and doesn't blame for who you are. And I'm giving you a wise suggestion not to blame & hate Mr. David Lynch for production of such ratings level as "from 1 to 5", because that way, you hate yourselves only. You show that way, that your thinking level is between "1 to 5". Keep a close look for your prism, because you're destroying Real Art. Maybe on purpose!?

The atmosphere/acting/music/directing/writing of episode is still Great. Photography/editing/effects/production design still the way they should be here. The scenes with Dougie and his Thank once again David (and others) from the deep of my heart!

And I'll go watch Sir Charles S. Chaplin's productions such as A Woman from the Sea (1926), City Lights (1931) and The Freak (1966-1975).

Deep Emotions for Real Human Beigns or "Whom should I call?"
10 June 2017
My first and only review for almost 20 years on IMDb. English is my half second language, so... (from the man who met him once in book store, in Moscow in 2009)

Interesting, but there's something missing...?!? Maybe tits, asses and stupid ness, fake ness and so on? Or last 13 episodes??

I love Lynch's art from more than 20 years and I assure you, that people (Twin Peks fans) who writes negatives reviews for such level of art as "new season", having a trolling party, or brain damage regress. This episode is very dramatic, funny, cruel, kind, truthfull, thrilling voltage, absurd and deep as milky way goes far from the donuts hole. Acting is Great. Screenplay is Great. Music is Great. Atmosphere is Great. Directing is Great. Production design/editing/photography goes the way it should be here. From all the great-great movie sadness that felt down on our Earth for the last 10-15, I truly grateful to Mr. David Lynch (and others) for such cinematic piece of (deep-minimal-epic) art present. This is Twin Peaks reality vs. ours. And I'm making my bets on Twin Peaks's. I'm agree that it is darker and more complicated than before, but as Lynch always have been and as our times are. Thank you once more and I hope that (Twin Peks or not), but it wasn't "For the Last Time". Piece. Love. Mystery. Truth.
