Till Death (2021)
So bad
I don't understand how this movie has a 5.8 rating. Bad plot, bad writing, horrific sets, and like the dumbest ending. Nothing about this movie makes sense.
StartUp (2016)
Good potential. But went nowhere fast
The show had good potential but it became really really unrealistic, soap opera-ey, and dragging. Tons of plot hole and things that don't even make any sense with cyber security or banking . Don't get me wrong I like a sex scene, but it's so gratuitous (think skins max 90s movies and shows) it feels weird. Also some of these women look like plastic surgery addicts -yuck. Sorry didn't add to the show .
I got sucked into to watch 7 shows. I'm done- skipping 22 episodes and going to watch the last episode and see how it ends.
Hoarders: Carol (2020)
Carol is wrong. But the family threw fuel on the fire
Carol created this mess but the mean family never welcomed her and never accepted her. Sure she was there right when Be killed herself, but the dad welcomed her and probably needed someone. I wonder if the family was even half decent to her if this wouldn't have happened .. I feel gross watching this garbage yet it's addictive.
Jupiter's Legacy (2021)
It's not bad... it's just not good
I love invincible & the boys. This seems to miss the mark. The plot feels like a soap opera and the main superhero is annoying and obnoxious as F (Josh D.'s character - he was written really poorly.).
Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020)
Wish I had know it was a play made into a movie
Would have probably loved to see a biopic of ma Rainey. But I'm not a huge fan of theatre. About a half an hour in I had to google if the movie was based off a play or musical and it was. Not for me. The dialogue and drama is too much for my taste..
Blown Away: Name That Toon (2021)
Someone else should have gone home
I'm sorry I'm a bit further in the competition ... and I can't stand the guys attitude ... but in this challenge Chris T. should have gone home. He didn't fill brief . Period. The end . I would have liked to have seen more of the artist they sent home .
Bridgerton (2020)
Like a cheap supermarket paperback romance novel.
1. I'm not interesting in idle gossip and backstabbing and this is HOUR upon HOUR of it.
2. The sex scenes are so cheesy and overdone and sometimes take up the entire episode.
I tried to watch but episode 7 was enough.
3. This show doesn't empower women. It shows them mostly as nothing but liars but also attacking one another, gossiping about one another, using sex as revenge ?! Doesn't seem very empowering or 2020.
Ouija: Origin of Evil (2016)
Not scary at all - but okay movie
The first ouija was terrible if you ask me. This was way better. But it felt quick and not very suspenseful or scary at all. It could have been great.
Hangman (2017)
Terrible writing
Acting okay. No character development for killer, cheesy background stories for main characters. Plot moves fast and the cops connect the dots way too quickly. No suspense what so ever no twists or surprises in this movie.
Run (2020)
Meh...
Good Actors, Okay writing.. but it's just okay. Mediocre first episode, then the series starts to pick up a little.. By the end of the series I wondered why I had watched it all. Good acting but the characters felt really really whiny at parts.
Altered Carbon (2018)
Gave it a 9 out of 10 before season 2
I loved season 1 of this show. Watch it, love it. I shouldn't have watched season 2. It is so different, the producers should have made an entirely new show instead of making season 2. The entire feel of the show changed, the story became too confusing and nonsensical. I wish I had never tried season 2.
Raising Dion (2019)
Geared Towards Kids and Familys
I am enjoying this but after watching the first episode it's obvious this show is geared towards children. There is a lot of over acting (especially the child actor), unrealistic parental decision making, and teachable moments. I still enjoyed the show as it had a decent story, good effects and some story lines adults will enjoy. It just was a little hokey at times and the child screaming made me a little nuts . I also adore the girl that plays Ezperanza- great sassy child actor.
Bad Apples (2018)
Don't be fooled by the stars this movie received look at these reviews
Watching this movie. I thought a 5.3 average review was good for a horror. I kept watching and I can't believe that actual random people voted this movie anything but a 1, 2 or 3. If you read the user reviews you will see everyone that cared to write one actually agrees.
Into the Dark: Flesh & Blood (2018)
Should have been 20 minutes shorter
I liked this movie but it could have definately been trimmed by a good 20 to 30 minutes in my opinion. Would have been stronger
Vox Lux (2018)
Starts as an 8, turns to a 5, by the end the movie deserves a 3 if that
The beginning of the movie is great. Then jump ahead to an obnoxious pop star played by Natalie Portman with a terrible accent. The writing is gold, the portrayal not so good. By the time I'm exhausted of the movie and bad acting by Portman, I decided there wasn't much left to suffer through, suffer I did. The movie makes you watch a terribly long and orchestrated concert with horrific vocals and dancing. I'm assuming this is Portman's own voice.
Doppelganger (1993)
Did the write the lines as they were shooting?
This movie is not so bad it's good. It's not so bad it's bad. It's somewhere in the middle. I almost wanted to stop several times but the campy b element to it kept me watching. I definatley think they wrote the lines and the actors learned them scene by scene. It maybe would have gotten a 6 out of 10 but the ending was just out of place and kind of misplaced and awful
Under the Silver Lake (2018)
I wish I had seen it at the theatre I would have walked out instead of continuing to watch it
After about 20 minutes you realize this movie is more stylized than anything. The movie starts to get bad quickly, then it becomes nonsensical, then it gets worse, and just when you think it might get better and make some sort of decent point... it doesn't. Not only that -the movie is looooong. Cast is good, hipster styling good, sets & props good-it just doesn't all connect. This is so disappointing because I love love loved "It Follows"
