Dirty Dancing (2017 TV Movie)

Very disappointing

Firstly, like all little girls, I've seen the original when I was a teenager. I loved Patrick Swayze playing Johnny and it is very difficult to play this role now. However, Colt isn't the worse actor in this remake. Baby is useless, no very beautiful and especially with no charm. She is not the kind of interesting girl. Furthermore, I prefer her relationship with her father in the original film. Moreover, even if they are all singing, I think it is ridiculous for the father to sing as well. I am very disappointing but I didn't expect a lot of this production.

Secondly, the music is good. I think this is the only good thing I can say about the positive points.

The White Princess (2017)

Good but less than The White Queen

I loved watching The White Queen a few years ago. I discovered a piece of England history throughout the destiny of Elizabeth Woodville who is beautifully played by Rebecca Ferguson. All actors are very good especially the Queen's mother. However, I was looking forward to discovering the destiny of Queen Elizabeth's daughter, Lizzie. Firstly, the landscapes and scenery are very nice so are the costumes! Secondly, the actors are quite good but not as good as the first series. I have to say that I am quite disappointed by Henry's actor and especially by the Queen Dowager's actress who is too superficial! I don't like her game at all. I loved her in the first series and I don't in this one. SPOILERS Finally, I was disappointed to see the birth of Arthur and not to see the relation between Henry and Lizzie before the birth of their other children. Besides, the story is very different from the reality especially about the Prince of York who was really dead! The music is the same than in the latter series so no surprise. I look forward to discovering the other episodes but with not the same impatience than a few years ago.

Fallen (II) (2016)

A messy romance

I didn't know the books and didn't read them either. So, it is with a new and clear sight I saw this film. Firstly, I like the actress (much more than Kirsten Stewart in Twilight). She's pretty, not proud, tortured and the actress plays well. I like Daniel's actor too. He is charismatic, tortured as well and enigmatic. However, Cam seems very young and not very strong for me, so, I can't feel any hesitation between Daniel and him in Luce's heart. For me, it is obvious that Daniel is much better and more interesting than Cam.

I confess that I was a little lost in this story with fallen angels. I am French and I was very worried to not understand what happened with the devil and the angels. I read others reviews and I realized that it's not clear even for English people.

Nonetheless, I like the story with angels, cursed love ... I began to read the books (in English of course) and I look forward to discovering what are the differences between the film and the book.

Jackie (V) (2016)

Amazing

What a film! What an actress! A beautiful realisation. The costumes are gorgeous and the play is perfect. We feel everything so easily and it is very hard to swallow. In fact, Natalie Portman plays so perfectly that it would be difficult do not feel anything. The story, which is based on real facts, is quite unknown from the public. Actually, the film speaks about the days following the assassinate of JFK. I remember that I saw the film with a friend who cries saying that she couldn't imagine the pain if she would lose her husband. She was just connected to the actress and to her distress. I advise you to see this film for which Natalie Portman deserves an Oscar !

Miracles from Heaven (2016)

A true story

Miracle ... or how to remain optimistic. I won't say that you have to believe in God because faith is omnipresent in this film. But, whatever you are going through, because of this film, you will know that you will never be alone anymore. It is a wonderful film which shows you that you should never give up. It is impossible not to cry but what a beautiful film. The actors are amazing. Jennifer Garner is perfect in this role.

What else can I say ? It is a incredible story and I just can tell you that you should see this film.

William & Catherine: A Royal Romance (2011 TV Movie)

A disaster

I was looking for real facts, authenticity and a beautiful love story. What a deception to watch this movie. I don't like the actors and their role. It is like a fairy tale but it's not. This is real life and I'm so disappointed. We don't feel an alchemy between Kate and William and I had no emotion at all. I love Victor Garber but I'm sorry, he doesn't look like Prince Charles and I don't think he is so cool and fun in real life. As for the Queen, she isn't as tall as Jane Alexander.

Consequently, I was very disappointed and I prefer the other film telling their story which featured Camilla Ludington.

La La Land (2016)

Amazing

Wonderful soundtrack ! I was very impressed by this film. The actors are awesome and they sing very well. The story makes us thinking about what it is the most important in our lives. We shouldn't forget our dreams but we shouldn't let go our soulmate. A very good production with beautiful music, dance and play. I loved the costumes too. I didn't see the time pass, it was a very good experience, and my friends loved it too. I won't tell you how the end of this film but I can tell that I like it very much because we can imagine some things. I was afraid to be disappointed because of the trailer and not at all. I recommend you to go to see the film and not wait the DVD because this is a film which deserves to be seen on a big screen with a good sound.
